The NBA Draft Thread

The fact that the Kings are putting their cards out like this takes any leverage away from them. :smh:

The way I see it:

IF Lakers choose Jackson OR Fox at 2
THEN Philly takes Ball

IF Lakers take Ball
THEN Philly trades with Sac, Sac selects Fox, Philly selects Monk or DSJ at 5 and BPA at 10
Don't really consider this as them showing their cards...A lot of folks have Fox going top 4. Just because they like Fox and would pick him at 5 doesn't mean that they would trade up to get him.

If the Sixers know the Kings want him, they can dangle him and hold him for ransom even though the Sixers might be better off with DSJ or Monk. They just gave the Sixers the opportunity milk that.

The only way I see Fox potentially going to the Suns is if and only if Jackson is off the table.

Suns need to do something with Knight and possibly Bledsoe. They're good players but they need a complete rebuild and those are good trade chips to get more players to build with.

There have been reports that the Pistons are willing to trade their #12 pick for someone that can help them win now. I want the Celtics to move Bradley for this pick, but the Suns could also potentially move Bledsoe for it. If I were them, I'd do it.

I've determined Fox is the second best prospect and don't be shocked if he ends up being the best player from this draft

Cmon Lakers, take Ball

What would they do with Jackson then? Have him come off the bench? He has too much ego to do that.

Number one should be getting rid of Reggie. Addition by subtraction. Should try to get Brandon knight back lol

Bledsoe averages 21 and 6 and is in the prime of his career...I think he should get you a bit more than the #12 pick.

He's a walking injury too though, also I think those numbers are as good as he's gonna get. Detroit is apparently trying to move on from Reggie Jackson and Drummond so maybe something can be done there with those pieces too? I think Stanley Johnson hasn't vibed with SVG either, but I think he's on his last leg in the league. I know he likes to burn it down but don't know if he lets that cross into the season.

Na the 12th pick sounds about right for Bledsoe. If he wasn't so injury prone he'd have much more value.

Also gotta keep in mind that the PG market is flooded right now and you got even more coming in from this draft...add that to the fact that everybody knows the Suns have like 3 or 4 pg's already they don't have much leverage in a Bledsoe trade...I'd be low balling the **** out of em

I just don't think a team like the Pistons is who should trade their pick for Bledsoe/Knight. Somebody like the Bucks is who should make a deal for them. They're not going to put the Pistons over the top into some top 3 team in the East so what's the point of trading your pick when you should be rebuilding?

What Phoenix needs to do is unload Alex Len before that rookie contract expires. Not sure he's going to do enough next season to carve out a place for himself in that rotation.

SVG wants nothing to do with a slow and proper rebuild. Expect more bad contracts and trading picks for proven players all for a 2nd round exit.

Teams like the Pistons think/know that their much closer to a playoff team than a total rebuild so they want to chase that 5-8...it's probly not wise for them but if you in that mode you rather have a solid vet than a rookie u pick at 12 that probly wont help your team for a year or 2

I get that we are in the draft thread, but there are more ways to go about rebuilding then hitting the bottom. Wolves been terrible going on 10+ years and just finally edging playoff contention.
