Dude is gonna be really good.
Shawn Marion does seem like an accurate ceiling. Something like Josh Smith with a brain and a better shot.

Both Shawn Marion and Josh Smith had 7'0+ wingspans.
Bridges is 6'8.
That hurts his ceiling a good amount, you can't be either of those guys without the length.
Still love him but if he had PF length he would be an easy top 8 pick.

More realistic.
He would have to become a + 3pt shooter at the next level to really be effective.
He would also have to be able to guard 3's full time which I believe he can but offensively is where being a 4 would help him so much more.

I remember after watching his first couple games that I thought he looked like a short Blake Griffin. Strong frame, good leaper, can put ball on floor and shoot pretty well.

I'm just saying, you can't compare players who have severe differences in length when that is so important position wise when we are talking forwards.
Like I said, Bridges with long arms is easily one of the best players in this draft.
But his length will effect him greatly at the next level.
He's still a great prospect besides that.

Like did it matter what anybody compared Devin Booker to when he looks like he's going to be a star in the league? If you said while he was at Kentucky he reminded you of Klay but then some nerd comes in here and says that there's no way he's Klay because Klay's wingspan is longer...did that really mean anything at all when he looks like he's going to become his own star? What about Dame? Giannis? Embiid? Kristaps? Towns? CJ McCollum? The great players become the first of their kind and in the end the comparisons mean absolutely nothing.
And if we're judging all these kids future by their wingspan instead of the eye test then all these great prospects in the top 10 of this draft are gonna be bums cause Fultz is basically the only one with a top notch wingspan.

It's not just wingspan. Like Bridges does nothing similar to josh smith or Shawn Marion. He's a bull in a China shop right now that can make threes. He's a great athlete off of two feet. He already struggles to finish in the paint in college.
Player comparisons are cool as long as you're realistic. Like you compared Dame to Fultz and these cats aren't even built the same or even the same caliber athlete.

Marions best asset was his versatility and his build had a lot to do with that I don't know why you're so against his length being an integral part of who he is as a player. Yea I get that length shouldn't mean that much sometimes but for some players especially tweeners it matters.

You just never know, I thought Kawhi was going to be a Shawn Marion with his length and rebounding at SDSU but he ended up becoming a different type of player and be much better offensively than Marion but not avg anywhere near the 12 rebs that Marion used to do

I have no idea what Buc Em is trying to say, honestly. When you compare guys, the point is to compare guys with similar measurable, strengths and weaknesses, etc. That's the whole point of a comparison. It's a frame of reference to see how you think a guy projects in the league based upon someone who's already there. Of course there's usually not a perfect comparison, and wingspans aren't the only thing that guys use to make comparisons either.

Jonathan Isaac occasionally gets lost in a deep Florida State rotation, but he's been consistent and efficient despite being used far less (21.6 percent) than other top forwards like Josh Jackson (28.1 percent) and Jayson Tatum (27.5 percent).
He's scored at least 15 points in five of the Seminoles' last seven games.
