Harris County Deputy Darren Goforth Murdered

Sucks for cops family...and sucks for the community if he was actually good, honest, not bigoted police... Chances of that are slim.

Quite the generalization.

This thread has already gotten ugly as do most police related threads on here do. Don't know what OP was thinking making this. Most of the cats that talk that rhetoric won't hesitate to call for a cop when an incident goes down.

Your point?

I don't cosign what some dudes are saying in here. But most cats I know who have an issue with police don't EVER call them. And if they did, so what? As long as my tax dollars are contributing to paying your bills, I should be able to call you whenever I need to. Doesn't mean I can't disagree and or be critical with your treatment of minorities.

RIP to the officer, don't like seeing people go out in cold blood like that.

I hope you can cope with the loss OP, I'll keep you in my prayers. Not easy losing an officer that worked 30 min from you. Glad you made this thread

I'm suprized he was able to muster up the strength to create this thread after all he's been through. I mean after all, this happened in "his city".

houston police aren't bad though...nothing like what other major cities go through...i've never had a problem but then again im not an idiot who is respectful of everyone.

It sucks when someone is killed for no reason right?

About time those pigs feel it too.

Who repped this?

Look, people should not be apathetic or rejoicing when things like this happen. An innocent person was murdered in cold blood and this is your response?

I hope this post came out the right way and some idiot doesn't quote me with "SWS". I'm not on that "All lives matter" nonsense, because I know that in this country only white lives matter to the majority of people. If any of you have gone through the threads of cops killing minorities in the past few years, you'll know which side I'm on.

However, killing cops isn't the way to get cops/racists to change their attitudes towards minorities. Instead, you'll have even MORE racist police acting out in "self defense" against innocent black people. I wish I could suggest an alternative way to change things, but too many people refuse to see anything from a minority's perspective even when you try to educate them and provide them with facts, experiences, etc (see Mr Highness, blco2, oneilmatt), so I don't know. But this is definitely not the way to go.

Ain't cops you need to be worried about. It's the government who placed this system who allows this this.

Wake up now

For $5 cash I can help u out

Not sure how true this is, so take what I say with a grain of salt. Apparently this is one of the natives of the town this happened in. I'd like to believe it's all speculation on IG's part (a homie of mines sent me the link), but if there's truth to it, then it'll be interesting to see what goes down in OP's "city". Even if it ain't, the fact that this sort of person is still walking around, it pains me, b.

Nah B, nah I refuse to cosign this. Unless proof comes he outchea murdering folk.

I want my people to stop being senselessly killed and harassed as much as the next man.

And nothing will give me peace until that day comes, definitely not a cop being murdered

I take no pleasure in this.

Exactly, I do not want to see police officers getting killed, I want to see police officers stop being killers.

Law enforcement officers enforce a myriad of bad laws and they use force to preserve and protect an unjust social order. However, seeing the wives and children of LEO's made into widows and orphans does nothing to repeal bad laws and to make society more just.

There were a bunch of Harris County officers at my school this morning taking a test.

thanked everyone I saw for their service

rip to the cop, sucks for his family.

i don't share the indifference some folks have about this but i empathize with where they are coming from.   so many people getting shot by cops that their credibility is doubted at times now in cases where they were justified in using force because of so many situations where they jumped the gun and hid behind that 'i feared for my life' copout.

i don't wish death upon anyone, but the indifference some folks have is reflective of sitations such as freddie gray, dude in Cincinnati, i can go on and on
