@TommyBeer: Kristaps Porzingis' per-36 minutes averages thru his first 5 career games: 18.6 points, 11.5 rebounds, 2.8 steals and 1.9 blocks.

Has anyone's per 36 actually matched up with that players production when he started to play 30 plus minutes a night ?

@HerringWSJ: Porzingis already has as many defensive win shares as Bargnani had all of last season.

maybe d will looks as good as he does because he is playing with limited minutes? i do agree that caldo's minutes need to be reduced & and much and everybody likes lance... get em outta hea.

I love what I see early on from this team. They have barely been together for 1.5 months and are showing major fight against top Playoff contenders in the League. The lossss have pissed me off haha, but there was a lot to be gained from them. I'll ignore all the Melo slander. Hard for a team to ever go anywhere when their fans turn on you in the blink of an eye  but I digress.

Porzingis is the truth and I knew his supposed "lack of strength" was not going to stop him from being a problem. Too gifted and too skilled. He WANTED to be in NY and he is playing like it. Love his defense. It's hilarious how all the reports were claiming he wouldn't be able to play defense his first year .

Once we can get Afflalo back it will help a lot. He has to be in the starting lineup because Sasha and Calderon together is a complete tragedy. Just not gonna work. Hopefully Afflalo comes back healthy because teams cannot just leave him open. That 2nd scorer will make it so much easier for Melo to find his scoring groove again. I love his effort on the boards, defensively and his passing has been solid. Looking forward to seeing this team grow in the weeks/months to come.

From Clippers locker room last night: one player raves about Knicks' Porzingis, compares him to Dirk. Paul Pierce counters with Bargnani

Prefer that comparison to the one earlier comparing ZDG (Zing us da Great) to Ewing. Cuz Ewing ain't got no ring MAN! LOL
It's early and I got a bit of hope again. Feels good

all the "experts" said he was gonna have little to no impact this season...

he's out here averaging 12 & 7 with a PER of 19 (3rd best among rookies)

I can see that, but we're comparing him to a HOF'er whose arguably one of the greatest shooters ever, most efficient, etc etc.

I can see KP being a more athletic Pau, second option on a contender AT BEST.

If Melo doesn't get his **** together hell be the first option on a fringe playoff team in his rookie season

KP is my favorite player on this team, but i just really dont like these Dirk comparisons.

Melo will be fine, its Fisher that needs to get his act together. Cant wait to see what the rotations are once Afflalo is back.
