I wonder at what point people will get sick and tired of the wealth distribution in the world.

And do what about it?

Rich get richer... thats just how it is.

LOL at people getting mad at the top 1%.
The poor work for the rich and purchase products from the rich.

Why shouldn't people be upset with the top 1%? Does it not bother you that they hoard wealth and control the government?

If you hit the lotto for 100+ million, how much of it are you going to give away??

Depends how you define rich, there's no way they get to that level without the workers. Closing loopholes isn't a penalty IMO.
Yeah for big companies you are right, but supply and demand go hand in hand. Walmart is a prime example of employing the working poor.

I was talking more so about movie stars, musicians, athletes etc..

Stop buying the products then.

"Minimum" in the term minimum wage refers to it being the minimum amount to support yourself. Needless to say the numbers at some point didn't match up anymore

Its not even about being in the top 1%, if he came into a lot of money, he wouldn't give it away because he's "straight".
Would he not give his family and friends some money?

You can't compare an average joe winning the lottery to a person who's family has a history of wealth, political power, established businesses, stocks, bonds, investments, property, etc.

Their money is much more then what's in their bank account and so is the equal distribution of wealth.

People keep thinking it's a "it's not fair he has a billion and I only have $500 dollars" argument when it's so much more too it.

Not a fair comparison.

So when you say "spread the wealth" what are you saying? Money is money. Liquid or not.

People should step down from CEO positions, ect?

Is it their fault their family has this kind of history? Ive always hated people who try to put down others because of what they were BORN into, like they had a choice.

My father supported a family of 5 on a very low income in the beginning, than rose to the top escalator style. He has a PhD though :smokin :smokin

100M won't get you in the 1% though.

I'm not sure where you drew this conclusion from. Are you projecting?

No, Im not. I know its easy to say something from the other side of the fence.

If you started a company from the ground up, and it made hundreds of billions of dollars, would you really feel like, "Maybe I should just give this money to other people. I have enough". I think not. Im pretty sure a lot of people go in with the "spread the wealth" mentality, get there and totally change their minds.

When you say stuff like "spread the wealth" it sound like you want a handout.

True.

Just don't be someone who hates corporate America and big companies then go buy groceries at Walmart every week.

Agreed, I do my best not to shop at Walmart. However it's hard to find any company with ethics.

He probably means like... There shouldn't be trillions of dollars sitting in off shore accounts to avoid taxation.

And maybe like help pay for infrastructure and job creation.

I never think hand out when I see spread the wealth, I usually think "help the country/state/city with your unlimited funds and ability to manipulate the political system".

It is, you're basically selecting the lesser of evils unfortunately but it can be done. HOWEVER, in order to do that you'll be spending more money to shop at those places. Glorious game isn't it?

There are plenty of examples of people with wealth that donate their money. You don't have to be greedy just because you're successful. But hey, it sounds like you think you know everything.

Handout? Does a single person with billions of dollars really need that much when there are people that don't earn enough just to survive? Should politics really be determined by who has the most money?
