Jordan 3 88 legit check??

So i've owned this pair for a year now and worn them pretty often, and it wasnt until recently I was told they were GM. Supposedly it was because the elephant print was too thick, but I always thought that for 3's the pattern and thickness of the actual print was always different. I don't have the OG box or hangtag for these so let me know if they really aren't legit. some stitching might be loose because i just wear them a lot lol. but if they aren't legit its whatever lmao but i'm really curious.
