Has anyone ever told a cop that yes, you knew why you were being pulled over? If so, what happened next?

I never know why. Not trying to point things out to them.

I'm sure they have, but that's an admission of guilt. I've been taught to always say no. Also been taught to refuse to do a sobriety test and demand a urine test

I always say no, I thought I got pulled over for speeding one time when I got pulled over for a busted tail light. Let me go with a simple warning, i know if my dumb*** said something I would've ended up with a speeding ticket

I was 16 and no license at the time. I didn't make a full stop for a right turn and cut him off consequently. When he asked me if I knew why I got pulled over thats the reason I responded with. He said, no its because of my seatbelt. I felt pretty stupid. He just had my parents come pick me and the car up. No ticket and lesson learned.

I got pulled over for running a red the other day. The cop asked me if I knew why I was being pulled over. I just said "I kinda do" and he let me off with a warning because he said I knew what I did wrong. Never thought that would have been the outcome but I ain't complaining lol.

This + Don't ever say anything to the cops. What you say can only be used against you, never for you.

Be stoic, calm, and relaxed when they try to rile you.

In Va the can take you to jail for refusing, I think. And in that kind of situation I'd want to avoid jail like the plague. It's kind of damned if you do, damned if you don't scenario. So 7d just be extra compliant and hope for leniency.

Always say no
That way ur not incriminating urself
He more than likely gonna let u go with a simple warning
For speeding a little and not paying attention to ur speed
Or not knowing ur lights out or whatever
If u admit it
U basically admitting guilt beforehand
Yeah u can probably still just get a warning but
It makes it seem like u knew what u was doing and didn't give a ****
Hard to pardon someone who admits and knows what they are doing is wrong
As oppose to someone ignorant of their wrong doings

I got pulled over for an illegal right turn, when the cop asked I said bc I was on my phone, which I was. Got busted for the right turn.

Yeah, I was speeding turned the car off and put keys on the dash. Didn't lie, dude let me off. Also have received courtesy lights from the highway patrol for speeding. Dudes run up on you and turn on the lights and then zoom past you, basically saying slow down.

VA Beach lawyer actually spoke to a group of me and my guys during some safety training the other day...you should implement your Miranda Rights immediately once pulled over. Also you can refuse to do the field sobriety test if you're pulled over and suspected of drinking and driving, however, if you get booked and taken into custody, you have to submit to the test or you'll get charged with some ish I can't remember what dude said.

I have before more than once. Got off with a warning every time. If I had no idea why I got stopped I obviously said no  but none of those times got me a ticket. Just BS reason I got pulled over (air freshener, license plate light) and a "no ticket this time" deal.

I'm honest with the boys when I know I'm in the clear.

Nah, I usually just keep it cordial with them and be respectful and they usually let me off with a warning.

Yeah, it speeds up the process. Not trying to suck up to a cop and play their guessing games.

This happened a lot Highschool days! :smh: There were situations where it could've turned bad!

I think I've seen this once. The guy just got a ticket for expired insurance or tags or something.
