I'm from the UK and there are many rappers I think you guys should be kept up-to-date with.

Rappers like Skepta, Krept & Konan, Fekky, Stormzy and Section Boyz.

Other UK friends (and anyone else), help me to keep this thread alive.

Here's a few UK music blogs you should check out:

GRM Daily

SBTV

What's Good?

Link Up TV

Here's a couple of videos to get you started:

Skepta - Shutdown

Section Boys - Lock Arff

Stormzy - Where Do You Know Me From?

I'm also from England, though not from London. Sounds so weird hearing the n-word in those Section Boyz vids. People used to say "man dem" until fairly recently instead. Why listen to knock-offs when you could listen to trap or drill anyway?

Spades just dropped that GRT! Joint has some slappers! I even got a RT on twitter. Glad to hear some new jams from fam. Now all I need is a new Blade Brown album.

J Spades is a G. What do you think of GRT?  I think it's dope!
Joint is niiiiiiiiiiiice. I'm not too into the drill sound he went for but his hooks are undeniable. Beg None is the standout track for me. Whenever he goes fullout Kingston it's a wraaaaap! I want a full album like that. I'm mad I had to wait an extra year for it but it's going in the rotation like the 1st two MMMP's.

Blade Brown put up a poll for his next project. It's between Financial Times 2 and Bang n Boxes 4! I'm HYPE!

I want FT2 for the Winter Grind cause BnB needs to stay a trilogy.

oh wow i didn't know this thread existed. I'll definitely keep on it though learning along the way. I got some questions i'll ask later about grime and what not, just not off the top of my head right now

Did not know this existed. Been a grime fan since my early teens. Definitely subscribe to this thread.

Anyone getting into grime should listen to Boy in da Corner and...and rinse.fm

Man shout out OVOradio for getting me into this genre.

Section Boyz got some crazy bangers on their new tape

late reply my bad lol but okay so I listen to a lot of electronic music among all my other genres. I know UK has some roots in garage tech or even grime that is very unique to a "UK" sound (correct me if I'm wrong in any of this btw). I love DnB and wonder where this falls in this thread, if any.

I know who Icicle is and listened to him for a while that is solid info on my part. But this is pretty recent. obviously he's at a spot in UK doing this but around 20min mark two MCs switch off a spit bars, written or freestyle I don't know because I don't know who they are. You can look in the youtube description and let me know if these guys are well known in the game (whatever game aka genre they're in) or theyre just dudes having a fun time.

Along with this, how far off is "this" from everything else that has been posted before? completely separate genres or Icicle is one of the few that blends between them?

Icicle has done this before, I like it so I'm wondering if there's others like this.

I've liked the artists that's been posted so far

in Hip-Hop, they have go to albums you must listen to like Illmatic, RTD, OB4CL and so on....

What are classic Grime albums worth checking out?

Boy in da corner - dizzee rascal

treddin on thin ice - wiley

those two are must haves

been messing with grime for a few months now, I heard of dizzee rascal but I didn't know the genre of music he made.

not gonna lie, it was the ojuelegba feature that got me listening to skepta, and then branching out to other artists

I found this vid of a collective of grime artists on a radio show. It's not recent, but these dudes are hyped

Any love for instrumental grime?

Bios of Saturate! Records released his debut ep and got some shine from Complex UK.

Check it out.
