OFFICIAL LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS 2023-2024 SEASON THREAD

Is your son a Clips fan?

Happy belated to him :pimp:

Thanks, man. Sadly, no, he's not a Clippers fan. The good news is, he's not a Lakers or Warriors fan either. Basically, he doesn't like sports. Not what I was expecting before I actually had a kid, but oh well. Maybe one day he'll get into it.

I have a hard time grappling with how unlucky we are when it comes to health

Every year man

Team is flat out unlucky at damn near everything. Almost comical.

I root for this team just to see them beat the odds. Clips gotta get a break one day.....right?

What sucks about losing CP with this injury is that with this win,

We're only 3.5 Back of SA with 2 more games against them

Only 3 Back of Hou with 2 games to play against them

With a cake schedule until the GSW game at the end of the month. Timing couldn't have been worse. But alas, clipshow

Missed the game but happy to see the final score. We byke!!! #2 seed here we come

Yeah, baby. Undefeated in 2017!

Undefeated!!

We might never lose again.

If it aint broke...#eruptluckyposts
2017 gonna end the California drought along with the Clipper championship drought.

Feelsgoodman

Alrhough my stupid *** assumed it was a night game and missed the whole game :smh:

Team Never Lose.

Hope CP3 is okay :smh:

I hope that it's a sprain in which he can put a splint on it and play with it

Hope it's nothing too serious

Because we're hitting our stride man. 7 straight with a top 5 defense and an easy schedule to finish the month out. Could get this to up to like 11 or so before the dubs game. 2nd seed in sights

- so far, I was wrong abt mo speights...very wrong in fact. He's still been a really good 3pt shooter even though he's tripled or even quadrupled his attempts from there from last season. Glad to see. Love the pairing with him and DJ. Also looks to be in much better shape than I anticipated

- ray Felton has been a godsend. It's going to suck to lose him in the offseason. So good. One of the best finishers at the rim in all of basketball this year

- Jamal Crawford is in real danger zone. Like he's lost on defense, can't make a shot, and more importantly, can't rid his defender to get an easy shot. I'm worried because I'm not sure if he's a rotation player at this point. Hopefully he can start making some shots soon, especially if CP misses some time here

Agreed on all counts. Also want to recognize Bass and Anderson for contributing during the streak.

And thank goodness for Austin's emergence. Without Blake, I don't think we get away with Jamal sucking so badly but for Austin stepping up the way he has.

Melo to lac getting louder by the day and as long as it doesn't include the code 4 then I'm here for it

No chance. Even though there is theoretically a way to get Melo without trading Blake, DJ, CP or JJ, (1) I don't think Phil is dumb enough/wants rid of Melo bad enough to take our trash (Jamal, Wes, PP) for him; and (2) even if he was, Melo has a trade kicker that would put us way, way over the cap. We all know Ballmer's pockets are crazy deep, but I don't know that even he wants to pay that kind of luxury tax.

Finally, Phil and Melo just met and Melo apparently said he doesn't want to be traded.

It's a fun topic for talk shows, Twitter, blogs, etc., but it's not going anywhere.

I suspected it was more than nothing by the way CP reacted to the injury, but surgery and 2 months out is worse than I expected. Basically, worst case scenario.

Bright side is that Blake will be back soon and we have one of the better back up PGs in the league. So, I'm not going to cry about this yet.

All that said, really wish Doc could find a way to flip Jamal and PP into something we could use. Extremely unlikely though.

Agreed. It isn't a death sentence and we've been competitive even without Blake and cp for the most part.

And if they fall to 6 or 7 who's to say that's a bad thing?

for Blake??

There's no real rumors out there. Melo is not happy with the Knicks right now. Melo has a no trade clause and has said that he'd only waive it to go to the Clippers or the Cavs. That's why it's being talked about. Most people assume the Knicks would only be willing to trade Melo for Blake. But it's all just speculation right now.

Of course the rockets start losing when cp is out for 6 to 8 weeks. Of course.

We're only 2.5 Back of Houston now. This injury couldn't have happened at a worse time. Like I mentioned a page or so back, you just knew the rockets would come back to the field, you just knew it. And with us on a roll right now, I have no doubt we could have ended up as high as the 2nd seed.

**** man. **** **** ****

I think I'm team Tank for 7. Although I wouldn't be too angry if we stayed at 4.

I agree regarding the Rockets. I thought they'd be good but they were playing out of their minds.
