Yes he did. Let me ask you this, if he would have revealed before his line of questioning that this is being recorded, do you think Nick would have revealed all he did? It literally was a "gotcha" moment.
He knew about the video though.  At the very least he could have said "Hey man, delete that ****, that's not cool."

The point was that you can't draw conclusions as to

Maaaaaaaan, people been drawin conclusions since before any info even came out.

"Now nobody will EVER sign with us"

"His trade value is rock bottom now"

"He's a snitch"

"He's a rat"

"Byron should be validated!!!"

And it could all be a simple accident and someone hacked DLo and made him the center of the social media world for 24 hours before any real facts saw the light of day.

But hey, don't draw conclusions now huh?

And a few days ago dudes was saying "this is a non story" " Nobody cares"

His own teammates ain't wanna be around him and it turned into a huge mess. Now it's good that his teammates are now supporting him. DLo has handled it good but the damage is done and it's gonna take time to heel.

His own teammates didn't want to be around him? Said, who? A source?

Cuz sure seemed like that night they was fine with him, no?

A source, said they didn't want to sit next to him to eat, and a few hours later they balled with him no prob. Then publicly supported him.

A source is the most trusted word on the planet these days.

You should be apart of the PR team, for real.

So you think it's false that his teammates didn't wanna sit with him? And nobody has denied it.

His teammates saw how big the situation got and decided to try to move on from it. Which is the right thing to do.

All of us Lakers fans wish this thing would go away over night but that's not realistic. His character has taken a hit.

I been getting these jokes off but i feel bad for the kid honestly. I dont thibk his intent was to intentionally jam nick up

While I don't feel bad for him after seeing his apology I don't think he did it maliciously at all. However, the act and questionable tactics of inquiry and revealing after he had got the dirt that this conversation was on video without Nick knowing is what makes him a rat. I'm also skeptical he doesn't know how it got out by foot now you have to take him at his word.

My theory since it was 3 months ago, after revealing to Nick he recorded it, Nick told him to delete it. Either he saved it somewhere else before deleting it and that subsequently got hacked or he sent it to someone else and either they released it on their own without D'Lo's knowledge or said party got hacked. Either way the damage was done when D'Lo pushed rec.

You saying he knew about the video beforehand? Why would he say huh at the end or why would D'Lo have to say thanks for telling that to my video? If this is something from months ago, why would NY look as hurt as he was, I would imagine this caught him off guard like everyone else. He would just be a different kind of idiot if he didn't tell D'Lo to delete the video.

I'm a patient man, and I feel pretty sure his character is actually going to rise from this. Not joking either.

Dumb, dumb, dumb mistake recording and screwing around like that. Even if it was a game they play with each other. But that message, THAT specific message, needed to be deleted asap. Just because of how bad the convo was.

He didn't do that.

And it cost him, and Nick, and Iggy.

So that's bad.

But then, the "immature" little kid that Byron has called him all year, stood up like a man, faced his team, his friends, the media, and said "It's my bad." I apologize. It's my fault. On me. I'll fix it. I'll make it right.

That's character.

Get the facts out, find out who leaked it, find out why, let the world see what truly went down, and not that he was just recording to get Nick caught up, and then people who jumped all over his throat on 3/30 might just change their minds when people see it was an innocent mistake, albeit costly one. But one that DLo has owned up to and vowed to make right.

Don't know if he knew about it before hand but he sure as hell knew about it afterwards.  The dude had 3 months to get that **** deleted and did nothing.

Well he really had no choice, the story came out the team had shunned him, this video came out over a week ago and he just said something Wednesday. Will he get some points, maybe but if you were at 100 on the character meter, had this happen that took you to zero, owning up to it is the bare minimum you can do. And it's not like there's an alternative theory is right there for everyone to draw their conclusions. That's why I said the recording is just as bad as it getting out,and in the grand scheme of things it's not going to matter to a lot of people how it got out.

Who's to say it wasn't deleted? But was either saved elsewhere or sent to someone else by D'Lo before doing so that allowed it to be leaked or hacked. Because of it comes out that D'Lo was supposed to delete it and either didn't or did after saving it elsewhere or sending it to someone else, he's a liar and looks even worse, then there really will be no coming back.

I can rock with that. But it seemed like DLo wanted to take all the blame. We might not hear who leaked it or how they got it.

I just don't get how Nick let him leave the room w/o deleting it.

NY is NY he prbly didnt think nothing of it after he said Huh sounded like he was half sleep anyway...

I mean is there anything that could come out that's going to absolve D'Lo of what he did, if it's revealed he was hacked, then the folks (who I still haven't seen many of) who think he did it intentionally will have to walk back their criticisms. But other than that what changes?

Besides people saying nobody will ever sign with the Lakers? Besides people saying he's a rat and a snitch? Or that the Lakers should trade him asap? Or that none of his teammates will want to play with him again?

Nothin really. They'd just be recanting all those scolding hot takes from 3/30 I suppose.

:wow: Holy crap.

When I first heard about this I dismissed it as young clown ****.

It's really that bad, huh?

Hopefully the silver lining is he becomes a bball hermit like Kobe was. You don't gotta be friends; just bust your *** on the court.

He is a rat though CP. for recording it. He just is.

Regardless the damage has already been done to his rep, he going to have trust issues going forward and has acknowledged so himself. As a result the subsequent aforementioned things are still plausible, they don't disappear just because we find out later he was hacked.

No, not really.

A rat records that like yeah, I got you now NY, you and Iggy done for.

If what he is saying is true, IF he and Nick screw around like that, and record dumb things, and laugh about them later, and do and say stupid stuff, then he wasn't bein a rat, he was playin around with his dude.

Stupid for not deleting it, stupid for not protecting his cloud, or phone, or whatever it was stored on, absolutely. But that isn't a rat.

I have TONS of info from my friends that shouldn't be out there. But my mouth won't ever repeat that stuff. If someone went and hacked into my cloud and found some old voicemail or something, am I a rat? Even if I didn't know it was still stored somewhere digitally? Or someone got my phone and dug thru years worth of text messages and found something and shared it, without my knowledge, am I a rat?

My brother is 18. He records so much ****. Mostly just embarassing things like **** you do when you just with your people.

I do the same to him now just to mess with him. (I'm 23)

Randomly we'll text eachother random videos or pics and LOL about it. It's a huge part of our brotherhood and friendship.

If his phone gets hacked and every single video of me is sent out, is my brother a snitch?

If my phone gets hacked and every single video of his is sent out, am i snitch?

No, absolutely not.

and If you say yes, you're a moron.

Actually you would be perceived that way not saying is right or wrong but if dirt ended up coming from you even though you didn't intend for it to, then yea you're a rat too. At that point the how doesn't really matter, just that supposedly confidential stuff is out and the source is you. Y'all never watched any mob movies or Law & Order?
