No to blake.

Another question. Seeing how Lin, Ed Davis and Bazemore are playing now. If they were still Lakers, would they still play this way or would Byron have held them back.

Ed and Baze man...smh

Byron would have held them back.

But at the same time Baze would have been fighting & taking away minutes from Clarkson if he was still here, which would rustle a bunch of jimmy's in here and upset his fan base in this thread

I hate to say it..but dare I say Ed & Baze would have been better off and would have flourished if Pringles was still coaching the Lakers :D

no need to trade for BG if he can become available in 2017.

but its funny seeing that people don't want him on this team like he's the plague. i wonder if the same things would be said he if was a FA.

Certainly would have a diff approach if he was a FA. No question.

Those are factors that have to be taken into account. At least, that's how I would operate.

Blake isn't good at basketball?
No, he is, absolutely.

By saying Artest was, I didn't mean that Blake isn't.

I was justifying my thoughts on Artest.

Blake is good at basketball, and a brat.

Guess it would have made more sense to eliminate the common factor, but... ah well.

we already have a PF who is just as athletic as blake griffin though

Even more reason to say no to BG. I'm with it.

I wouldn't be so ready to think they will trade the pick at 3. Especially if they have to include another asset in Randle.

Don't see Cousins or Butler being traded in all honesty anyway.

Yea I don't think they trade the pick if they get #3
It would have to be something pretty significant and major for them to trade that pick

Yea well I took "a very legit look" as if we can't get Luke then we will go with Messina
Either way sounds like a lot of waiting seeing as they both will likely be facing each other in the WCF

Im sure Ollie will get a very legit look too. We shall see. All 3 would be way better than the previous three coaching hires Jim/Mitch made

One reason I don't want Luke is that I think he'll be a yes man to mitch and jimbo to who they sign/trade for...all the other coaches seem like they'll have more say

I don't think Luke is getting hired b/c Jim and Mitch would basically be sealing their own fates.

If we get #3 take Bender and call it good.

Hiring Messina will be the right play for the young guys as well as attracting FA's, tho maybe not this summer. They'll get "somebody" with all the space they have, but maybe not a group.

But a core of
Bender
Randle/Nance
Brown
Clarkson
DLo
#32
And 1-2 FA's with Messina will start to attract attention very soon.

Pray Mitch and Jim don't over think it tryin to save their own ***.

#3 on Bender? Idk bout drafting him that hi he's still a kid literally...

Well, drafting ready made 27 year old All Stars is out of reach, so you kinda have to take a kid. Sorta the point.

Bender or Jaylen Brown are gonna be #3, each of them fit our current core. Bender has the higher ceiling tho. Even if Brown may be closer to his. Mitch is pretty good at figuring out who will be better over time, I think he'll go with Bender unless Brown has truly magical workouts.

I feel like Ollie is a good balance between Luke's youth and messy's experience. Let's see how interested he really is

This summer is gonna be big. I can feel it.
The pressure is at its highest. Kobe is gone. I feel like as soon as FA starts we coming out guns blazing. Especially if we keep the pick.
I fear that tho cuz I've said all year we gonna lose that pick. :smh:
I hope on draft lottery night Mitch screams out 'Tails never fails'

On a sidetone it would be soooo hilarious if Byron Scott still represents us at the draft lottery
Would be his ultimate loyalty to the purple and gold
