I'm not sure exactly what has you riled then Mamba. I went back to the start, are you simply focused on the "not a franchise player" comment, and the rest you acknowledge he's always said?

The not franchise player part might be a bit of a stretch, I assume he's moreso hammering home a point in the heat of battle more than actually believing it to be the case.

He might also have a different personal opinion in what constitutes bein a franchise player vs what you or I believe. You'd have to ask him on that for examples, like AI, Ray, Kidd, etc.

Wow that post about kobe being the worst thing to happen to the franchise is one of the dumbest things I've ever read on here let alone from a lakers fan

Just flat out stupid :smh:

You knew it would happen. Boom. There ya go.
Ska are you upset?
Ask Mamba. Dude knows me better than I know me. Ask him.

He's that's it the franchise player and worst thing to ever happen to the Lakers. He started by saying he's always said those things and then acknowledged after that he didn't. My entire premise is that it's mighty convenient to say that now when we're not competitive and he's a shell of what he once was but win he's winning chips it stopped before that level.

I think what he's focusing on and mostly everyone else is "the worst thing to ever happen to my franchise." That's completely asinine and you know it too

I haven't liked Kobe since he initially asked to be traded and his role in ruining a dynasty. I appreciate what he's done but I am no fan of his.

I'm just offended ska doesn't think hiring Byron Scott is the worst thing to ever happen to the franchise. What the hell

I mean, Byron, Smush, Magic coaching, Nash, Dwight, Mike Brown, Magic tweeting, Jim Buss, Rodman, Magic talking, Brian Cook, CP3 veto, HIV,

Certainly there are other options I'd go with.

But it's his preference, let him rock.

The 48.5 part I might get behind, but entirety of his career, I wouldn't go with that. But that's why he and I danced years ago.
I've BEEN saying everything I've felt.

I spoke the same way
BEFORE he was a Laker, when he announced in that gym wearing those Oakley Twentys that "I've decided to take my talent to the NBA."

Spoke the same when he was traded to the Lakers.

Spoke the same during the feud.

Spoke the same when Phil's book came out and said what HE said about Kobe. Had me like, "Told y'all."

Try to paint me like some cowardly Johnny-Come-Lately beating a man when he's down?

Nnnooope.

I was speaking the same way when he was scoring 81, getting rings.

And I don't hate him. If I hate someone, I wish them suffering and think that humanity would be better off if they died.

You don't know me, bruh.

I absolutely was saying that then.

Me and CP got into FOR PAGES years ago because I said we won in spite of Kobe. This was when we were a championship team. That's how I worded it, that we were winning in spite of Kobe, and that's exactly what CP quoted, and we went at it. FOR PAGES.
And still winning in spite of Kobe is not that he's the worst thing to ever happen to my franchise nor that he's not a franchise player.
Well no I wasn't saying those exact words then, because at that time, he hadn't handcuffed the franchise I love with a ridiculous contract and uncoachable approach that even outsiders joke about, making it difficult for us to transition to life after his retirement.

He hadn't done that yet. That's just now.

So of course the opinion has worsened now, but I've always spoken the same about him, because I've never been fooled by the attractive smoke and mirrors.
"Been saying"

"spoke the same way"

"Spoke the same"

"Spoke the same"

"Spoke the same"

"Was speaking the same"

"'worst thing to ever happen to my franchise'... wasn't saying those exact words"

"opinion has worsened"

"always spoken the same"

Pretty clear to anyone who can be told something.

But to some stubborn child who can't be told NOTHING, they only see one thing: what they want.

"YOOOOUUU said that you were always saying "Worst in out franchise", even back then!!!"

No, I never said that I said that. I clearly said I've BEEN speaking the same on him. But if that's what you want to see, see it.

Don't let nobody tell you NOTHING!! I said that in 2009 I was saying Kobe is the worst, and then I backtracked!! TOTALLY!! STICK WITH THAT! You are ON IT, BRUH! *another high five* :smokin

Can't wait for you to uncover that manup IS ACTUALLY CHRIS PAUL!! :wow:

Ska gonna Ska.

Where's that post someone did the other day with an outline of what you do, it applies here.

And I'm not a child pleighboi, watch it. Or is that another misinterpretation?

You did it, kid!

Back to proving I didn't say something I actually said, dude! C'mon! Or proving I said something I actually didn't say. I lost track of your agenda.

Get back to it! QUICK!!

Alright guys, separate corners. Come on now.

We got a long year to get thru, let's not bury people Nov 5th.

Let's go back to bashin a kid with 4 whole games on his resume.

you guys are bickering and losing sight of our team being just 4.5 games out of first place
Only one of us is acting like a child and it's not me
Totally!

Putting words in someone's mouth: completely grown.

Being proven wrong and refusing to admit it and still sticking with your narrative: completely grown.

Telling someone "Watch it" online: completely grown.

I said that back in 2009 Kobe was the worst thing ever for us and then I backtracked that. Absolutely. Boy, I slipped that by so many people, but not you, you clever sleuth!! :smokin

Maybe someday I'll be as clever and mature as you, 'pleighboi'. :\

I don't even know what you're arguing anymore.

This is the last I'll say on it.

I acknowledged the sentiments you have been consistent with on here about Kobe. I said that you weren't saying he was the worst ever or a franchise player during that same time. You agreed "I didn't use those words". Dassit. Didn't put any words in your mouth.

Don't know if you can see that with the pounding your keyboard is taking.

Clearly you are in your feels so I'll leave it alone.

Although, I think most of us in here agree that the initial post was one of the most stupid we've ever seen. Thank you LTB, was good banter on a pretty slow Thursday night.
