Any NT'ers ever been to Barcelona? How was it?

Went three years ago and can cosign some of what was already mentioned...

La Sagrada
La Boqueria

I stayed in the gothic district which had a lot of bars and restaurants that were patronized by locals...don't bother with restaurants on La Ramblas
A place we are at multiple times was pasta bar in the gothic district
Park Guell was amazing and free
Metro is easy to use in Barca
Gothic district is reasonable walking distance to the beach

My uncle went a few months ago and said he checked out the old bull fighting ring (bullfighting is banned in Catalonia) and the arena is now a shopping mall

He stayed at a flat close to the beach and said there was a lot of nudity at the beach...when me and my wife went to the beach we didn't notice any so it may be certain parts of the beach

there was ppl bringing there own stuff to make mojitos on the beach and freely :smokin joints on the beach w/ no worries...ppl walking down the beach selling mojitos

i'm gonna go OD on pics here cause i loved it so much there:

I was there in 2011. Met a guy from Florida that looked like old Eddie Murphy in "Life". He told us he was Jesus Christ

Im trying to go sometime in march-april. Any recommendations on where to stay? Want to be near camp nou but also the beach and nightlife. I guess somewhere centralized and with good transportation.

We stayed at a hostel called Kabul in plaza real. It's right off of Las Rumblas

Camp Nou is not in the main area..it is in Hospitalet..I would not suggest staying there..u can take the metro (subway) there

Go on Priceline and u will be fine with any of the 3 star and up hotels..check out the amenities and def read the reviews for each hotel on tripadvisor

I used airbnb when I was there

You can find something good for about $100 per night unless prices have been jacked up for some reason

Spanish people in barcelona are mad racist. Although it might be because i am south american.

I went to Barcelona in 2007 and it was my favorite city out of my one month backpacking trip throughout Europe (London, Amsterdam, Paris, Rome, Italy, Ibiza, Madrid). From what I remember there's parts that are dirty/sketchy (pick pocket/drugs - found a needle in an alley), but it was a blast. AirBnb wasn't around then so we stayed in hostels - they were fine from what I can recall. The street performers are :wow: :smokin
