YouTube Red: Ad-free vids and music for $10/month announced...kinda want

I swear you dudes wake up and find ways just to spend money. But there is a market for it and folks are willing to pay, I'm not mad at them

So basically $10/mo for the old YouTube.

Oh and you get music too..........

If it took me a lot of convincing to get spotify premium, this definitely won't come close. What a waste.

I googled it too

Basically.
Easy pass. Eff YouTube...how are they going to charge us for home made videos?

Now is the time for a a new site to come in with the freeness and take all of youtubes visitors.

Pressing F5, adblockers, mute button, skip ad button

Are all better options than paying $10 a month.

Still waiting for the day I could let YT vids play while my phone is in my pocket and screen not on

Before anybody asks, I like listening to radio interviews but they're a hour long. I'm not watching my phone for a hour I rather listen to it and while multitasking

I use my chrome cast and "cast" it to the TV and put the surround sound on so i can just walk around and do what i gotta do but this would only work at home.

What you are saying would be nice for the car or something

they should just make it so I can use their app and have my screen off.

I would pay .99 in the app store for that.

YouTube Will Completely Remove Videos Of Creators Who Don’t Sign Its Red Subscription Deal

YouTube made its top video creators an offer they literally couldn’t refuse, or they’d have their content disappear. Today YouTube confirmed that any “partner” creator who earns a cut of ad revenue but doesn’t agree to sign its revenue share deal for its new YouTube Red $9.99 ad-free subscription will have their videos hidden from public view on both the ad-supported and ad-free tiers. That includes videos by popular comedians, musicians, game commentators, and DIY instructors, though not the average person that uploads clips.

Google with the strong arm?

www.ListenToYoutube.com

Take any YouTube link, and it converts it to an MP3.

I do that with all breakfast club interviews.

watching people TALK is a waste of time IMO

So basically only people who pay are able to see these top creators videos (using iLLest as an example here) even if you're subscribed to their channel?

This comes with Google's music pass too doe.

So this is a better option for someone that watches a lot of video on youtube and has Spotify

I don't use ad blockers, I know that's were sites make their revenue. Seems like a d-bag move to do so.

Not judging doe

They could easily implement a script that prevents ad blockers from skipping ads. Hulu does that. But Google won't do it with YouTube. If they don't care that much about it, then I don't care about using AdBlock.

If you go to YouTube on safari and play videos off there you can listen while your screen is off. Just gotta turn off screen once it starts and press play from the locksceen

Or jailbreak your phone.

Unless they make ads longer and unskippable

:nerd:

Yeah this is what's about to happen

30/60 second ads with no skip option.

Still not worth 120 a year. Not enough free content on YouTube for me to care.

I was just wondering the other day how much longer YouTube would be free.
