iversons size would never let him have that long of a career

and we all see whats become of washbe bryant

If Kobe could be like Duncan and accept a diminished role, become more of a mentor type and become more of an opportunist scorer he could still be valuable for any team and last more seasons in the NBA.

His mind still wanna be the alpha but his body won't let him though lol

I think it's more giving the reigns over to one of the more dominant players in the league combined with accepting what Kawhi is in his career and where he (Duncan) is in his career more than anything.

I'm sure he wouldn't mind that role but like you said it's the body. Kobe not even able to get out of bed a lot of times and barely walking the next day. Ice bath after ice bath. The body recovery time in your late 30s is not as easy as it use to be. 20 years of professional ball is a major toll for anybody. #respect

This. He has no chill. He has more ego than smarts unfortunately.

The end of Duncan's career>>Kobe's

Just off of Kobe getting hurt repeatedly

Free agents refusing to come and play with him

And then this sorry season. It's just sad.

Seriously

Duncan's going out gracefully while Kobe's out here embarrassing himself on a nightly basis . Where's the honor in that?

Two years ago Tim Duncan dominated the NBA finals. He averaged a double double and lead the team in points and rebounding

The year after that he also dominated the next NBA finals. Lead the team in rebounds and averaged a double double.

Agreed.
Duncan got David West and Aldridge this season.

Kobe got Hibbert and Bass

And subsequently choked away game 7 by missing an easy layup and putback in the final minute of an extremely close game. But hey let's all forget about that.

The last few seasons have cemented Duncan's legacy over Kobe's legacy.

Kobe was more exciting but as a guy who you built your franchise around, it's clearly Duncan.

Kobe hasn't even gone to a Finals in past 5 years. But hey let's all forget about that.

Dudes comparing Duncan to Kobe like the teams and coaching is equal. Spurs have many guys who can take the pressure off Tim late in his career.

No one's forgotten about that. Doesn't change the fact that he dominated those series

There were reports that Hibberts ego was hurt when the Pacers ran set plays for Bynum, but never for him.

That coincided with his and the Pacers downward slope that year.
There was something about Paul "Savage" George sleeping with his wife too
