2016 Houston Rockets Pre-Season Thread - Preseason Finale vs Spurs

Will update thread tomorrow. Was doing a lot of wedding related stuff all day, but was able to follow a portion of the game for a bit. Was just satisfied at hitting "refresh" and seeing the final score :lol: time to get back to .500...them the season begins :smokin

Rockets have interest in Markieff Morris, which could at least have something to do with Morris being inactive for their most recent game.

Montrezl Harrell was also assigned to Rio Grande Valley.

hmmmmmm...Markief is a poor man's D-Mo IMO. He'd be an upgrade over T Jones but I wouldn't give up anything more than T Jones to get him.

Same here. No reason we shouldn't even this game up and start from scratch. We lost to NY at home, and beat them up there, so after losing the BK at home, we should be able to get them up there as well.

Appreciate the write-ups by the way
 
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand look at that, another loss, this time we actually make a comeback, getting a lot from the bench, yet get fleshed down the toilet due to the usual bad defense leading to terribly easy layups. We are now 0-4 vs the Nets and Nuggets, season sweeps. Just embarrassing.

Totally wasted Thornton AND Brewer's good games. And these were the damn Nets, with ISO Joe heating up in the 4th and not being seen since Trillville dropped Neva Eva.

Don't both Morris brothers have pending felonies though :lol: :lol:?

Will just focus on the positive during this game and ignore the usual stuff that has been happening with this team, cause it's always obvious. Harden pretty much put the team on his back, Brewer & Bev brought the energy and timely shots, as did Thornton and Terry. Wish we could when games without making it so difficult, as well as Harden limiting his minutes. Oh well, just have to collect wins as we can and worry about other stuff later.

I have no idea how this didn't and hasn't worked. The chemistry is so bad and I didn't think simply adding a guy who was supposed to take the load off of Harden is currently a disaster.

Here's a possible trade scenarios involving Taj Gibson. It would make sense if it was only involving Taj Gibson and Terrence Jones, but the rest of the article discussing other assets makes no sense at all for the Bulls based on the current standing, but I'd love it for the Rockets :lol:

IMO; they both need the ball to be effective...that's the problem. Therefore putting them on the floor the same time means Ty suffers. James "said" he wanted a ball handler but James is not a catch and shoot guy, he likes to get the ball...get some moves off...and then go. This reduces the effectiveness of another ball handler.

For Ty to work for this team JB either needs to make him the leader of the second unit or get him and James in more two man stuff. Ty excels in an uptempo system where he can create early offense without the defense being set. That's not how the Rockets play. The second unit could play that way though. Put him in the second unit and tell him he's not gonna get a ton of minutes but his one job is to push the pace when he's on the floor. The rockets are long and athletic enough to do that with the second unit. Ty, Montrez, KJ/Terry, Brewer, and Capela, are all pretty damn good athletes (well...jet isn't anymore ). They could run on most second units in the league.

With him and Harden on the floor run two man pick and rolls with Ty starting if off. Whether James rolls or fades out for a 3 the defense has to respect it...which will open Ty's driving lanes or get James an open look.

It's great to get these Loss Analus Losers out of the paint, both literally and figuratively. Nothing like handing Kobe a miserable loss on during his farewell tour. Will update tomorrow
