gg y'all

we're back

I don't get why we don't feed DMo/Dwight the ball ? clearly, we get better spacing as a result of feeding our big men in the post..Even Harden in the post results in great spacing...

Also, why is Harrell not getting any burn?

Quality win tonight against a pretty good East team to get back over .500. Foul trouble sucked, but it also provided floor spacing. Terrence Jones...this guy  you'd like him to perform like this on a daily basis, but we already know what to expect from him, flourish against bums and scrubs, and get taken to the woodshed by elite PFs. Maybe he's trying to raise his trade stock, IDK. I thought Lin would try to show out tonight, but he was pretty subdued.

Harden :pimp:
Thornton PT :smokin

Outside of Dwight getting the ball in the post...ALL THIS! I've not seen JB go back to James being down there since the Portland game and I have no idea why. Montrez could be an elite "energy guy" but I think Capela is eating up his minutes..gotta find a way to get a guy like that on the floor though IMO.

On a lighter note...those Hornets uni's are pretty pimp. Rockets need a uni makeover so bad.

At this point, I'd take those gray alternates over the normal ones. I don't even know the significance of the checkered flag on the sides, but they're way better than our normal ones.

Terrence Jones is annoying as hell to follow, man. I still remember when he was throwing in some 30 point games 2 years ago. Some 25+ since then.

So hard not to trade him with this roster/his inconsistency. So hard not to want to keep him off talent/age alone. Dude is still only 23. :\

^I was thinking about the age thing just a couple days ago. It feels like hhe's been around much longer. You'd like to think you could be a monster at 26, but I also wouldn't be surprised if this was it.

Yea, it could easily be it for him.

Granted, I think guys "grow" when they get the opportunity to consistently start/play a specific role. Dude's just been a randomized wildcard which could be stunting his growth. But it might be the most we'll ever see out of him. Adds to the whole frustration of keeping up with dude

Morey can't trade him (he's tried) for anything of value because this is who he is. This is his 4th year...typically if a guy is gonna be a really good player the 3rd or 4th year is the break out year. This is the same reason the Rockets let Parsons walk; by the end of his 3rd year that was as good as he was gonna get. This is as good as TJones is gonna get.

Yea, but Parsons averaged like 37 mins as a Rocket. Not many have a "break out" season averaging 25 mins off the bench without having a consistent role

apples and oranges imo

Jones is hard to trade not only because of his play but also because of his salary. He doesn't make much plus he's a upcoming free agent. The time to trade him when he was a real asset was 2 years ago now if he's traded more parts have to be thrown in which is why you hear Brewer attached to him in a lot of trade scenarios.

That's exactly my point...in his 4th year he hasn't "earned" more than 25 minutes a game. He had enough time to develop into a full-time starter and contributor and he hasn't. He's not a bad player by any means...but he is who he is at this point.

we might have differing views on what it takes to "earn" more than 25 mins a game. Im still very anti McHale's rotations over the past 3 years. Plus, its hard to earn minutes in a rotation with a 20 million dollar player who's getting a bunch of inefficient back to basket touches.

and ill agree to disagree on "he is who he is" with finality. He might be, but I wouldnt be surprised if he still has ceiling left to tap into

We can agree to disagree..it seems like he got more minutes under Mchale than he has under JB though. I hope he has more to tap into; this team desperately needs another guy who can give them 18-20 per night

such a moving contribution

dont label me a tjones apologist though, ive wanted him gone and wouldnt be surprised if ive said that on this exact thread. I'm just weary of letting guys walk and watching them go off elsewhere. Especially if its in our conference/division

Jones to me just looks like a selfish player honestly and he is t good enough to justify that selfishness

He was pretty good for us in 14 the injuries did him in last season. The inconsistency is the most disappointing.

He'd be such a force if he could face Cody Zeller every game.

Harden's step back on Lin had me  it was so deliberate but it still worked. Lin flew like he was ejected from a car
