Nike Air Jordan Retro Metallic V - 7/23/16

I have a strong feeling that these are about to become a June drop :\

Seen DJ Folk comment on Balt's IG post saying that it would likely be June 11th if the change happens.

Dates aside, I'm still wondering why they used the old school clear sole on the Maroons but went back to the Payless blue soles for these. That maroon 6 sole material would've made these perfect. Just, why?
 
Might be June 11, stores just got the metallic navy 1s last week which come out first week of June i think
 
Nitpick comment alert!!

Why did the materials (or at least the look/texture) of the remastered maroons, cement 4s, or even the aquas and bordeaux come as close as possible to the og but these don't have the same upper, tongue, and have a blue tint sole?

I don't work at a retail sneaker store, so I'm going off of how they've been receiving their stock, in my area, over the last five years.

Here? The major stores, your FL and FNL? Typically DO NOT get their stock THIS early. I know for a fact, that often times? They don't get their J's until the THURSDAY PRIOR to the Sat. RD.

In the instances in which they DO 'get them early', it's 2-4 WEEKS, and NOT 2 months.

Again, that's in MY area, AND I can only speak for the specific mall I've copped at for about a decade now. 'My mall' is NOT a 'good mall'. So, my experience obviously doesn't set precedent or mean much in the grand scheme. Blah.

That said? 2 months is abnormally early. That's why all the speculation.

Until I walk into the brick and mortars and talk to ppl, no way to know. But? I'm w/the contingency of ppl leaning towards the RD being moved up, just judging off the fact it IS so abnormal to get them months in advance.

I am always ready for a pair but was hoping to double on this release....
Oh man oh man oh man...i gotta get ready for this.
Guess they werent playing when they mentioned the new placeholder system.

The maroon 6s aren't clear soles; they're milky, so not a valid comparison. Though the tongue in these pics is definitely far from the nice dark OG grey/silver... Look cheap.
 
Why are people hoping that these release in late July still? I really hope it's sooner. Better to get the purchase out of the way and let it end there. If money is the problem, sell a
Pair in your collection that you don't wear as much anymore to offset the cost

Probably because there are atleast 5 pairs of shoes releasing in June that everyone wants.

I'm banned from paypal for life so can't sell

Because $725 is going towards Championship Pack 8s & Yeezy Boost 750s in June

And all funds are accounted for in July only for the 5s
