"I don't count Kobe"

Lmaoo

Kobe. Sucks. Kobe. Sucks.

My favorite chant at games :smokin

Speaking of which, I'm calling out all you duded who used to show up at Warriors games wearing Kobe gear. Oakland arena used to be Lakers a extension, I swear. Now that the Warriors are winning you guys finally traded up for some Warriors gear? :x :smh:

That area used to be a sea of purple and gold, only time that place sold out, I'm sure you can wikipedia that. But, love is love.

Just a random rant/thought.

EDIT, from Wikipedia

That record lasted until December 14, 2007, when the Warriors hosted the Los Angeles Lakers and packed in 20,705 at the Arena to set a new franchise and California attendance record.

I think he currently is the best player in the NBA, however, and I say this as a LeBron hater 1000%, LeBron did big things when he was selfish with the Cavs. Now, he is more focused on team ball and his brand has suffered a bit.

However, Steph plays team ball and still keeps his play up. Draymond or Klay might get more buckets, but the way he scores, and his finness, you wouldn't even know, he just stands out as a star player regardless of his numbers (unless he goes 1-17  ).

LeBron has stalled. Curry is getting better and better every year and can still get better. If he goes for 2 this year, which he will, and he keep up this pace, goes for 6+ rings, I can honestly say he is the closet est thing to Jordan we've had. I don't count Kobe, not a fan.

But with 2 rings I would put Curry over LeBron hands down.

damn. calm down bro. let him win another before even saying something like that.

That's why I said, if he keeps doing it, he will be top 3 all time. Dude is averaging MJ stats and is exciting to watch. Thing is, this was the regular for MJ. If he can keep it up, which is very hard, we have a comparable player. Different style of play, but def. game changing, just how MJ was when he first entered the league. He hasn't met LeBron's consistency yet, but if he goes 2-0 in the finals, 2-0 is better than 2-4

Very well summed up.
Averaging 30ppg was expected from MJ and before he retired in 1993 for the first time, the 30.1ppg in 1992 was even considered as low for MJ Standards.
Curry can be compared with MJ, Kobe, Lebron and other greats when he has played longer in his career and keep up his performance of th current season for more seasons.
Otherwise you can also name Tmac and Iverson who had scorings of 31+ppg in their best seasons.

MJ comparisons and dismissing Kobe?

You are gonna be directly responsible for Curry being hated.

( I am a fan of Curry btw)

edit: if he continues this output for 6+seasons, and wins 6+ rings (as your post suggests) then yea, we can compare him to MJ. but lets let him win a few first.

We gotta stop with this put Bron on any team and they will have 50+ wins or be a playoff team. Show me a time he went to a team that was sorry, then the next year made the playoffs. We can't count Miami and Cleveland because those rosters were nothing like the year before top to bottom. It's not like they just plugged in lebron with the exact team and they took off. Then people love to say o Cleveland went to a lottery team soon as he left. U telling me a team built around said players strengths became a lottery team when said player leaves? No way. So please please please stop with that argument. Before his prime he missed the playoffs a few times with Cleveland, I'm 99% sure after his prime he would miss em with Philly also.

i wonder if he can sustain this. I've never seen someone shoot so effortlessly. Something I've never seen before. Maybe he really has unlocked the secrets to shooting the basketball.

That's gonna be the reason people are gonna hate him. He wins this year and starts to cool off or doesn't get close to 6,they gonna crucify him. We can't ever have good things without comparing em to jordan then when the accomplishments don't add up to jordans they turn on em.

I dont think that hate is the right term but the media and some curry fans are treating him like the best ever player already which is totally inappropriate.
Doing this will only harm curry because once he cools off or fails to lead his team to the finals or winning the championship they will treat him very awkwardly like people did with Lebron after the 2011 and 2014 finals. Back in 2012 and 2013 some Media guys hyped lebron to be the goat. Seems like they always hype the current best player to be the new goat...

I think it's better just to enjoy watching the players play and compare them once they are reaching their end of career and not before.

People don't treat lebron differently because he lost in the finals, they treat him differently because his is a cocky *** hat.

How's this any different from any athlete that's considered the cream of the crop in their respective sport?

In international football (or soccer how it's called in the USA) the star players are less compared with legends from the past. They dont compare players with Pele or Maradona all the time unlike it's done in the nba.

Here in germany we rarely compared Rummenigge, Matthäus, Ballack or Müller with Beckenbauer so frequently.

He's doing it while shooting high percentages too. The guy is so efficient.

I totally agree Kobe and Lebron were never playing this level of dominance that Steph is displaying right now.

Only guys this dominant have been Jordan, Shaq and Curry.

Heh? Kobe hasn't? dude you can't be serious and LeBron has as well. Don't be fooled g

What type of dominance are you talking about? Offensively? Because dude you have hi ys like T-Mac during his days with the Magic, Allen Iverson MVP year..cmon man lol and they were doing it with way less talent than what Steph has around him.

Kobe was damn near a Jordan clone with a longer range. And Lebron dominated in his first go around with Cleveland.

Steph Curry only started getting good last year.

LeBron was dominating the entire season and were even the favorite to win the Finals even with Kevin Love and Irving injured.

If by getting good, you mean best player in the league...i agree. Otherwise, hes been good since his rookie year

Kobe was an inefficent volume shooting Jordan clone.

Lebron was more dominant with the Heat to me but I dont think he dominated like Curry, Shaq and Jordan.

In my opinion, all those players you mentioned dominated the league, as in, toyed with the opposition and did whatever they desired in the court through use of their abilities. For God sakes, Kobe scored 81 points!
