Just wanted to get it started and put out new info

So the transcript truck to see ur ddd(direct deposit date) is kinda sorta dead
U can still order them
But only through the mail
U can't see it online like in previous years
BUT
There has been speculation that it may just be for certain states
So we will be finding out in a few weeks if this is true

ALSO supposedly the IRS will begin processing and accepting tax returns electronically on January 18, 2016

Most tax preparers will allow you to enter and submit your tax return beginning the week of January 4, 2016 or January 11, 2016. You don’t need to wait for the IRS to start accepting tax returns to prepare, but you must have the proper forms and paperwork available. Some forms are not available until mid January and some even later. When you submit your return before the IRS begins processing, it will sit in a “queue” and be held until the date that the IRS will officially accept tax returns. If you e-file early and it sits in queue, your return may be sent to the IRS early in a test batch. This has resulted in early direct deposits in the past, but also major glitches because it’s a test.

Also this next part is important for u earned income credit folks

Curious to see how I can change my withholdings to get more money in my check throughout the year and a very small refund. First full year of working and mortgage payments I know I am over pay by alot.

Yeah man I have MAYBE $200 taken out of my check each pay period
My girl gets around half :x
Though I think because she has me as a domestic partner and my kids on her benefits
She gets extra taxed
I have her on my benefits as well so we have double medical and dental
But since I have my kids to claim as well as myself I don't get taxed like her
Seen a 2000 and something check
Go down to 1200 :smh:
And mind u medical and dental benefits are free through her job(she works at a hospital)
So she gets TAXED
and it's cause of this domestic partner stuff
I'm thinking of just hurrying up and marrying just to change our filing status

 the marriage filing status would help out a lot. I have $800/check coming out in taxes :x. Definitely looking to cut that number down.

Yeah I'm going to get that no insurance fine too. No one wants that garbage mn sure they offer here for 300 bucks a month. You're better off paying out of pocket.

I got my taxes snatched last year by Department of Education so I gotta call H&R Block to see who all I gotta call to prevent this

Haha yo ministry of education in Canada been in my pockets for 3 years now. Every year they garnish 100% of my tax returns till I pay back that student loan.

I'm talkin like they take the full 3000-4000 tax return straight. It doesn't even come to my account for a minute

If it's due to student loans I'm pretty sure there isn't anything you can do to prevent it except for starting to pay your loans.

Sweet, my wife and I had a kid this year.

I wonder what 'benefits' we'll reap this year.

Seems like no matter how much I have withheld, I ALWAYS end up owing them some minimal amount.

On a better note, this will be my first federal return in a good 5 or 6 years.  Sent my last payment in a week ago to the stupid IRS.

Mane, I got ALL SORTS of plans for this money, acting like I'm getting back tens of thousands.
