What's social media's obsession with Odell Beckham Jr.? Vol. Why they hating on baby pa?

Dudes care about what he did, because it was dangerous

Ya'll didn't like him from the beginning and just needed a reason, because it's football.

The fact that some of you are more outraged over what he did than Greg Hardy or Sheldon Richardson means you need to evaluate some things.

I actually liked Odell Beckham coming into the draft dude is explosive and his agility is rare.

Greg hardy is despicable and I'm pretty sure most people share that sentiment.

I think Richardson should have been suspended too but he def didn't get 4 personal fouls too. Hardy has done nothing like that on the field.

ODB is a punk.

I think dude is exposing a lot of homophobia and people who are in the closet themselves

This was a megaman reach.

Its really not tho. I think its two things going on here.

One, the long running hate on ODJ coming from males and some females questioning his sexuality.

Second, hate to a smaller degree coming from his actions on the field, which in comparison isnt really that extensive. Besides the Norman incident I only recall one other time he got negative press. I think he was slapping defenders in a game or sumtin like that.

But by far the biggest negative chatter surrounding dude, is other ppl going out of their way to be bothered by him liking to dance. For whatever reason they care and it makes them uncomfortable. So not only do they track his dancing moves, they look for other opportunities were ODJ may be doing something "suspect".

Its pretty much homophobia bruh. I dont know if people that do the most hating are gay themselves but they are definitely insecure and immature imo.

lol nahh but LSU is my alma mater and I support home grown products

I dont think there is any bias present in my interpretation of the facts tho

GOAT widereceiver in the making, if he can get his attitude on field a bit on check....look at the numbers through his first 25 games, that alone proves he's better than any WR playing at the moment....of course he would have haters trying to get in his head on or off the field, is the only way to throw him off his game since he's very emotional.

I didn't think so at first but I'm starting to agree with this. It's really weird. Folks keep pointing to OBJ's "off the field antics." What antics do you speak of exactly? That he likes to dance? Josh Norman made the same reference. OBJ has never been in trouble off the field or anything even remotely shady to my knowledge. So if you're talking about his off the field activities, in reference to him as a football player, you're making a correlation that seams to be based in homophobia. On the field, the amount of incidents he has had have been minimal. Obviously the Carolina game was egregious. But Norman acting like he showed the world OBJ is some sort of villain when he in fact, he possess's many of the same character traits he's getting on Odell for is laughable. We want players to play with a chip on their shoulder and be exciting, but we want them to be humble and quiet. Those things rarely come in a package.

Forgot all about Andre and Courtland lol... What was the punishment by the leauge in that? Courtland got his ***** beat

Man just giving it some thought I wonder what the response would have been If Odell would have just did what Andre did and threw hands.

He could have put a dent in the social media chatter about his "femininity" but at the same time mainstream media would have painted dude as the new Bad Boy of the league and queued up his "fall from grace" story. :smh:

i have no idea what he does in his off time as i am unplugged from social media but the boy can play.

and it's football..people lose they cool all the time. that's the nature of this game and anyone who wants to oust him because of the cheap shot i hope yall have the same sentiments to every other player in the league cause they all do it.

and imo that play wasn't even that bad.

not a giants fan btw

or

and everyone knows how Steve Smith gets down. It doesn't matter if you're his teammate.

and I don't think Norman is the most likable guy anyway
