Soccer/Futbol/Football Footwear, Kits & Gear - 2016

The "tongue" material looks identical to the superfly. The shoe basically looks like a superfly without laces with a low cut collar. I personally can't imagine wearing soccer boots without laces. My feet are pretty skinny and narrow so I can't see a laceless shoe fitting me the way i want it to. Would still love to try a pair on...but not for $300

maybe i'm old fashioned, but there's no way a laceless boot will be anything more than a fad. maybe it'll work for the pros, since they'll have their pairs personalized from a mold of their feet at the factory.

ozil will probably wear these for a match or two, and then switch to something else - just like what's happened with collared boots for many.

sadly, i think collars and laceless boots are gimmicks that have become necessary to sell boots due to a lack of imagination and innovation. hopefully we're not headed towards a 'dark age' of boringness like what basketball kicks went through ~2004-10.

MAdrid kit is a yawn...will wait for the away

I am afraid of the looks of the new superfly but will wait to pass judgement. If they put the hypervenom 2 upper on it i am going to re up on a bunch of current gen models. I haven't played in the HV2 but overall the upper got mediocre/bad reviews for being too stiff

Neymar's Hypervenom's *cough that he might not wear cough*

the soleplate on the blacked out magista 2 is so clunky - a step backwards. bring back the intertract blades!

If I have multiple orders from a foreign site and they add up to over 200$, will I be charged customs?

back when nike toronto yorkville was still open, they offered a "steam to fit" service for nike flyknit footwear. i'd imagine something similar would do wonders for people using any of these "knit" boots, with or without laces.

I don't think there's a chance in hell laceless boots end up being just a fad.

Pretty much every single innovation and improvement to materials and upper construction in the last fifteen years has been geared towards making boots less bulky and more sock like.

Laceless seems like the natural evolution to me.

the soleplate looks the same to me, what am I missing? what are the intertract blades?

the factories where these boots are produced have molds of all their contracted athletes. So these boots are essentially custom fitted to their owner when they're made.

Barcelona 16-17 Home Kit

Wanted a color but other than that, I like it alot!

Wishing that it could stay sponor-less but we know that will not happen, too much money to be left on the table. Wouldn't mind negotiations taking a while so Nike would be forced to produce a sponsorless to sell to the public.

^ sponsor less makes it looks clean but I feel like it's missing something. Although I like this year's kit a lot, glad to see the return to vertical stripes. Can't wait for actual pics

Interesting take.

Until a company can find a way to please the public though with a mass produced viable option though i think this remains a ways away. I personally like my boots to fit tight. I know some people tie theirs loose some more tight. But i have narrow feet so i need laces to lock my foot down. I can't personally see a company making a laceless boot that would fit me snug enough for me to be ok wearing them. Now if they do some sort of foot scan and mold them to your foot system....maybe. But that will be expensive.

The thought of a laceless boot to me just screams foot sliding around in the shoe and having roll over issues/heel lock down issues leading to tons of blisters.

what the hell did nike do to the magista
they made it better, its the hypervenom 2 prototype that they made into magistas. neymar was wearing them in 2014 in training. theyre gonna be niceee. HV1 nikeskin with the superfly collar and a good outsole

does anyone here know where I can sell some of my football boots besides ebay? I refuse to give them a percent of my sale :smh:

if you have good stuff there are facebook groups for buying/selling boots
I don't have a FB but looks like I'm gonna have to create one just for this. I have a pair of Vapor 9 and Maestri 3 I need to get rid of.

Anyone feeling the hypervenom 2 designed by Neymar for off the pitch? Looks simple and clean.

these are alright. I just can't get down with people casually wearing the takedown model with the indoor outsole. It just looks tacky in my opinion, they belong on the pitch.
