2016 Academy Awards/Oscars - Nominees Announced Today - February 28th

That dude rules out Fass and Cranston and goes for Redmayne  He wants McKay to get it for best director

 :smh: @ Salma Hayek. I can her saying that in her voice too.

He sounds mad jealous too. Talkin bout Leo got millions of dollars and is young wtf that got to do with ANYTHING. Main reason he dislikes Revenant cuz Leo falls and gets up makes up the movie??? he oversimplified the **** out of the movie

THR is releasing these everyday up until the Oscars. Here's the first one.

sea manup, is that you??

Unacceptable that a voter hasn't seen one of the best picture films. Your job is to vote for the best picture. Watch every ******* film in the category before you vote idiot!! I hope to god they meant they hadn't seen the film YET. Otherwise that person needs their spot revoked for real.

All that being said, they were spot on with their Leo and Revenant assessment. I also heavily side with their Redmayne endorsement.

Oscar voting has closed so yeah this dude did not see Mad Max

Insane. Those bastards get DVD screeners sent to their house. I never thought I'd be on this bandwagon, but Oscars really are a ******* joke.

Yeah it's pretty ridiculous. If you're voting, watch every damn movie that's nominated it's only fair. Many of these people vote on who they like in real life, and not the performance. Damon getting lots of love so far in these. Not surprised cuz he seems like a likable dude and probably has a lot of friends in the industry

These voters don't even watch all the nominated movies

The amount of guys not watching all movies nominated :smh: I busted my *** to watch so many movies nominated (and while I satisfying) and I aint even voting

 @ some of these belittling statements about these movies. I know somebody in here had the nerve to compare TR to Wile E. Coyote and Road Runner. Then ppl are talking about The Martian was Castaway on Mars just not as good.

Agreed with some things said about Fass, Damon, Bridge of Spies, Room, and Spotlight.

I was laughing at the Hater's guide until he started sucking off Mad Max. I wanted to read hate not opinionated hate.

So the format for award presentation is going to be different this year? I heard the approach may be in order of how a movie is created; so writers would be acknowledged first, and so on and so forth.

That would be interesting.

I think in the past they always knocked out the best supporting actor/actress first just to kind of jump right in to something interesting and relevant before all the "boring" stuff.

I'm looking forward to Chris Rock, he should be great.

That might be a bit weird for the ending.

Editing is in post production. So would that be last award of the night? :nerd:

Exactly when do you give the awards for the scores? I'd assume that's in post to cuz most composers watch the scene and then make the music for it unless we talking songs that been out.

The acting would be all in the middle I guess. Costume, makeup all early.

I like the format they have now. Keep the most anticipated awards for last (picture, director, leading roles)
