I'm not sure how you can ask this and you're actually from (or just living in) Houston. I used to think ASAP was just influenced by Houston, Memphis, and Bone Thugs until dude's in this very thread and the Rip NY Rap thread dropped that bomb about that image and sound being completely constructed for them. As far as Drake, I mean, how many times does it have to be explained to you? One of his most popular songs as he was ascending was this one

J Prince is pretty much Drake's gatekeeper, the reason he can do a lot of stuff he can right now. Drake's entire style is basically a much softer Z-Ro and Big Moe. How are you supposedly from Houston and not know this? That whole "OVO sound" is basically the screw soundscape combined with a bunch of 90's R&B elements.
