Birth of a Nation sounds INSANE. vol. Nat Turner Slave Rebellion Movie (Teaser Trailer - p. 5)

So no matter how well you treat someone the fact that you own(ed) them means you're a piece of ****? No grey, just straight up black & white like that?

YES.

If the slave owner was so nice they would have let the slave go or never owned them to begin with.

Can't wait to see this movie.

At the moment, 6.8/10 on IMDB, 100% RT

thats the 1915 film

I don't understand how anyone who owns people, and sells them for money or other slaves can be considered "nice".

Same argument can be made for white people today who say stuff like no white person today should held responsible yet they continue to uphold the slavery and racism benefit society for whites.

Is it somewhere I can see this now? :nerd: or did this get sent out to critics? or are only the ppl who saw it at Sundance rating it?

With the early viewing, I get the feeling it's gonna drop a bit earlier than ppl might think. I want this to come out in theaters nationwide at the right time for it to get the most eyes on it.

Given son did this on his own and w/e studio just won the rights to distribute it I highly doubt that.

been waiting  on this for awhile . def gonna catch this in the theater ,i remember when i saw django in the movie how many people left lol

Trailer looks good. This should have dropped before "Free State of Jones" tho. I met Nate Parker and he seemed like a good dude.

I'll see the movie...

I already know what the OG one is about...

Basically you don't want to let Minorities (even if they're the majority) take control because they'll turn your city into ANARCHY....
