OG Nike Air Jordan III Retro True Blue BLACK FRIDAY '16

If this has the red tongue liner, I'm out. The only reason it was there is because nobody could even see it on the OG and it lined up with what Nike did at the time.

there's a reason the 2001 is better than the OG, even if it doesn't have the NA.

I knew it was something different about these, I don't like that red behind the tongue it kind of throw the shoe off to me.....but I'm still grabbing a pair regardless

It will have red liner on the tongue....so you have a decision to make....it will be a beautiful OG shoe regardless.....I would advise not to miss out on this classic.

I can't believe people are talking about the red tongue  and about the height of the elephant print. The color is NOT TRUE BLUE!!!!!!  It is not a true blue III. It is a retro + colorway. Nothing else matters IMO. The color has to be correct first. I just can't believe JB is going to release this shoe like the pictures suggest.

If we're going by this then two of them already released, one is releasing, and one could be a prediction. The mystery 7 could be/must be the Black, Bordeaux, and Light Graphite 7 (they must have moved the date to the 16th). Also are you the person from Ebay that has sneakers for sell at $999?
 
Not really feeling what I'm seeing so far. I wish they would've just given us '01s with NA. While the red was on the OG, I feel this makes the shoe look too much like some Dream Team/Olympic cw and that's never the way I saw these. To me they were a dope white/blue cw with elephant print. Will wait for official Nike pics before making a decision. Black cements will probably come soon so it's really not a big deal.
 
All the original AJ III colorways had the red lined tongue with the red lace holes up front which was a way to keep a consistent design language on all four. Dudes all want the OGs, but now complain that they're giving us the OG colorways?  I agree that the blue needs to be lighter, but whining about not be exactly like the original is ridiculous. Nothing's ever like the original.  You just gotta accept that Nike and JB is all about making $$$ not pleasing the purists.
 
What's bothering most, is not the color of the shoe but the elephant print. I thouhgt this shoe was suppouse to mirror the true blue. Looks like the true snooze

There just slapping a Nike logo on the back of some 2011s and gave it a red inner toungue

This statement is incorrect. At least the 2011's have the correct shade of Blue. The height of EP is what we have gotten since the first Retro's for the most part. I can live with that, but cannot get past them calling these True Blue III's when in reality the are dark blue III's
 
You guys will save yourself a bunch of headache off you just wait for official pics. We've seen that the early fakes of the flu game 12s, french blue 12s, and space jams are inconsistent

I agree , but when every single picture has been that same dark blue its hard to think the retail pair would be different.
 
Man I hope the official pics have the other blue. This dark looking blue isn't looking like a purchase for me. Oh well! Black Toe 1s will be nice still
 
Its got to be like the originals. I only say this because they did an awesome job with the mtallic 5s why go back 10 steps. They finaly giving us what we want wth a heft tag.
