Offical "Love" Judd Apatow Netflix Original Thread

YOOOO NT FAM,

So I saw there was some discussion going on in the Netflix thread about this show and I figured it was so good and such a great conversational topic that it deserved its own thread!

Not to mention I personally loved the hell out of that show and binged the entire first season within 1 week.

I really enjoyed the style that each episode followed and that Judd Apatow really gave us a rom-com series that was so unconventional and non-fairy tale-esque. Like it was cool to see more of a realistic view of people that age and society as an outside arena that allows people to find or create love in it. There's sex, drugs, and humor in this show which is automatically a win cause lets be honest which of us here don't enjoy those three components to life. Not to mention that at no point in time did watching this show make you feel like youre possibly watching something that was made more tailored for females to enjoy. 

I absolutely fell in love with Mickey(yes I know she was crazy as ****) but something about her badassness and desire to be loved just kinda rubbed off on me. I also found that while I thought I could relate to Gus being a nice guy having found himself enamored with a crazy girl I really think it was interesting to see the moments where he would be a jerk because that seemed more natural then when he was TRYING to be this nice guy he thinks he is. I don't want to give away too much for those who havent finished the first season yet but I'll just say I'm already jonesing for season 2.

Also JONESING for Gillian Jacobs the actress that plays Mickey in the show. I dunno what it is but for some reason she's just fine AF to me and has now thrown me into a head over heels celebrity crush hahaha. It probably didnt help that I followed her on IG and found out that she loves jays(and hopefully other more in-depth with the culture sneakers). Got some eye candy for yall below.

@22stylez  yes fam another GEM in my humble opinion!

@gamble  so its funny I actually have a friend I was talking to the other day about it all and he really seems to find Gus not so at fault for his role in the show as the rest of us are. He has some valid points, he was sayin how can blame Gus for any of his reactions during some of those interactions with Mickey because if it wasn't viewed through the TV show lens of whats happening it would be pretty normal to react that way in those situations. I definitely had a lot of counter arguments for him but they were solid reasons why Gus might not be as bad as we cast him to be. You know what it is though..probably that its dope to admire crazy girls from a distance so we got them rose colored glasses for Mickey. I know I definitely do haha! 

anybody else digging it so far? It's nice that its this short and easily watchable I'm watching this season for the second time already*puts on flame suit*

Its really wild Judd got Gus out the way! Had this man swimmin in chicks. It's weird this time around I feel my initial infatuation with Mickey wearing off from my the first time I watched this season. Watching it again you can feel the crazy much more close up and personal. I know we can all relate to having that kinda crazy chick that had you sprung and made you go through some hoops to get with her at some point in your lifetime. Except when you've already experienced it and you realize the similarities in Mickey I get a lil jaded. Still love her tho*j**** voice*...LMAO

at the end it didnt feel like "love" or that they were good for eachother at all

just seemed like her life was in shambles and he just took a bunch of Ls so hooking up with her again was an open layup
