They just dropped the blackout kd9 and those up top are just the pair we all like with a grayscale effect but if they actually release then they're just like the blackouts but with a clear sole and minor details such as swoosh outlines

I dunno man I am hype for the blackouts I need them to hit disco as soon as they drop. I mean I can get em for $130 off rip but why waste that extra 30? Also I love all black shoes so I am biased, I have been waiting for these since the announced the initial cw's

View media item 2179352Wow! Today was my first time playing in my KD9s. Cushioning was incredible and traction was a beast. My only complaint is that the width felt tight because I have wide feet. I'm hoping to stretch it out after a few more sessions. I would love to keep these but, sadly, if they don't break in, I would have to return them to Nike.

So you intend on playing in them for a few sessions and returning them back to Nike as a defective product or just flat out returning them? 'Cos if it's the latter that's simply not fair to the person who might end up purchasing a 'new' pair of shoes.
It's clear as day that the shoe is NOT designed for wide feet so and the synthetic materials do NOT stretch or give.
Generally speaking you're supposed to wear a shoe indoors, casually for about half hour to an hour in order to gauge fit before actually using them to play, etc... That way if you do have to return the shoes the person who ends up buying them ends up with a pair that's essentially tried on as opposed to be being broken in, which is what you intend on doing.

I'm not sure about the KD9s but the Kobe IXs and XIs elite DO stretch out. The Kobe Thriller IXs were tight to the point that my feet were hurting and some colorways of the Kobe XIs such as the Avars, and Parkers were tight as well. The worker himself told me to try it out and if doesn't work out return it. Wow, thats quite a collection of XI's.
This is my opinion. Nike ain't gonna file for bankruptcy regardless of your decision. If you aren't doing it, someone else is. The prices they charge are insane to begin with. And of course, it doesn't really matter what some guy thinks of your decision. Its your money. Do you like the shoe or not would be the question I ask myself. Personally, I've never returned a used shoe to Nike because I never pay retail for ball shoes anyways and I'm usually way past 30 days when I finally do make the decision to sell em. I just sell on on ebay since a lot of people buy nds ball shoes.
Haven't played enough in my KD 9's but being that the flyknit isn't heavily fused, I'd imagine they could stretch.

What is your problem man? Nike allows you to wear the shoes and return them in 30 days if you're not satisfied. And that's their policy. He could wear them for 29 days and return them on the 30th if he wants to.

yea, don't understand why that guy is so heated. Nike states in their return policy that they want you to try or the shoes for 30 days and if you don't like them return them. Even for Nike ID products! Btw adidas also has this policy.

Why is that your problem? If Nike didn't have their business together, they wouldn't offer the whole 30 day trial.
If I really like a shoe that I just purchased and they hurt my feet, I might try to keep playing in them to break them in. If I am not satisfied within the given trial period, I will return them.

It's not my problem, I worked retail when I was younger and I defected clearly worn 'ish so that the next cat would not get a pair of broken-in/worn shoes. I'll admit that it was a few years ago and Nike wasn't making plastic shoes that required an extensive break in period.
However you keep stating Nike's 30 day policy as though it's your personal mantra but you haven't answered the question about whether you'd be comfortable purchasing a pair that some cat had discomfort with but kept using until the 29th day.

Are you Nike quality control? Didn't think so. Let Nike handle their return products, I would think they know what they're doing.
If they sent me a pair of worn shoes that look like they have been broken in (and I'm sure they wouldn't) I would send them right back. Regardless, the man above looks like he's spent a lot of money with Nike, and you shouldn't try to make him feel bad for exercising his 30 day trial.

The Kobe XI Milans have an engineered mesh upper. I've only used them casually so I can't tell you about how they perform compared to the translucent.
