Thought they were ugly when they first released and they're still ugly all these years later. Definitely my least favorite Jordan sig. Those SE's aren't terrible though..

The tongues were an issue for a lot of people primarily because they looked weird if you tried to tuck your jeans behind them, and they felt weird when you wore over them because of the protrusion rubbing.

I think with now with people wearing more fitted jeans, joggers, track pants they won't mind the tongue that much.

Never understood why the youth these days does this. And fitted jeans and joggers is a no no where I'm from. What man wears anything tapered like that? Demasculinizing the male at its finest. And no I don't wear baggy clothes but I'm from that era, but these days young men look like they wear their sisters clothes.

Carry on.....

The only fit my jeans will ever have is a straight fit. I kid you not...I seen a pair of tapered shorts. Look it up

#NTdenim is never in style. Wearing more fitted clothing makes you look slimmer (hence why fat people usually don't wear slim fitted clothing).

You've obviously never played basketball in them. They're pure garbage.

Really? I've played in these years back and still have a NDS pair (pic below) these have quick laces, zoom air, a fit sleeve, and weight under a pound each (15.4 oz for those counting). That's nearly identical in weight to the XI. Jordans were always one of the lighter shoes until the XVIIs. These were more than fine to play in at the time. NBA players will no doubt play in them now once these retro. Calling these garbage to play in I wouldn't say is accurate.

The tongue supposedly was to pay respect to Jordan with his tongue out. Many consider this a terrible design element and the shoe is regarded as one of the ugliest sneakers ever

Fair. Let me rephrase, great casual shoe

They're all pretty much casual shoes since that's how everyone wears them and there is better basketball technology today vs. decades back. But you can still play in these competitively.

This.
I wore them twice on the court and on the second game i almost wanted to shoot them away into the blue after i sucked not only offensively but also in defense. I couldn't do my steps right.
Even the vintage models were much better to ball in than in the XV.
Fitting was also not great due to the upper design. Despite they had zoom air the cushioning felt very stiff on these.
