AND the interior :x
yea blows the BMW out the water interior wise

yea youre a man with common sense i already know the answer

I told ya years ago when da M5 was bascially

bested By da CTS-V for almost ½ da MSRP

That Cadillac was that new HNIC on da block.

But old stereotypes of American cars die hard...

GM is engineering world class performance cars at great price points. I'm a Mopar guy, but what GM has done over the past two years with compact deisel Coloraso, Cadillac V-models, and the new naturally aspirated Camaro SS has really impressed me.

The CTS-V is more like 80% the msrp. Fire though, an AWD version would hold me down for years.

½ is hyperbole b i know

But

http://www.motortrend.com/news/bmw-m5-cadillac-ctsv-comparison/

30k difference is SUBSTANTIAL.

That article is way dated (2009), before ATS even existed and the CTS was their entry-level sedan. Now the CTS-V starts at $84k: http://www.cadillac.com/v-series/cts-v-sedan.html

You do still save about $10k in comparison to the M5 though with it's $94k starting price.

Can't say much since I work in the industry but automakers are preparing as if these regulations will stand....

I expect them to overprepare and be safe

Than to underprepare and be wrong so i got

Faith in them, they know what we want.

Exactly. Automakers designing cars 7-10 years out. I'm a product development engineer and the parts we make are anywhere from 2 to 5 years out

Subaru was allegedly testing a new mid-engine prototype powered by two electric motors and a boxer petrol engine. According to CarAdvice, when ask about such a project at the brand new Impreza unveiling in New York, Subaru of America president and COO Tom Doll, responded: “I have not heard that, I don’t know what that is. I don’t know. I don’t know where they’re getting their information from. I would like to know their source, I really would.”

The Australian magazine says that the company confirmed the new WRX and STI for 2017 or 2019, while the CEO of Subaru parent company Fuji Heavy Industries, Yasuyuki Yoshinaga, asserted Subaru’s interest in a second-generation BRZ:

“We are discussing with Toyota to produce a new model change for the BRZ. We have not decided any details yet, but we will make an agreement. We want to continue the BRZ.”

With all the Domestic cars coming to a rise, the question is, will these cars actually last? That's what made GM have a bad rep. I really like the new Impala, but i'm very skeptical on if it will last

In my opinion, it's tough to buy a "bad" car nowadays.

With the oil crisis in the 70s, the US government put restrictions regarding fuel efficiency and emissions. Because companies like Honda and Toyota have been already doing this, they thrived during that time period. While the American manufacturers had almost no time for development and had to put out crap, unreliable cars to meet these regulations.

I read a book about this, I forget the name I'll have to look it up.

But it's 2016 and GM is consistently highly ranked by JD power and associates.

If you find out the name, let me know. I would like to read up on that. Just from looking at the cars in the 80's, GM cars looked terrible

Test drove the new Malibu and I was blown away. Very great car. A couple things I didn't like but overall a great car and great buy.

What things didn't you like and what trim was it?

Basic trim model had fabric like the same from the seats running along the dashboard. Also the 2 A/C vents in the middle were vertical and didn't seem like they provided much air. That's mainly about it. Overall a great car for the price and lease deal.

Not even bad either.......

Yea in this day an age basic trim is never the way to go lol. Downgrade to a lower model if you're going to do that.

^ Porsche can never do wrong by me.

Yeah I actually went in there to get a chevy cruze for like $100/month they didn't have any in stock.
