The Official Jordan XXXI Thread

These are hotter than anything on the market. Flyknit+leather+full length zoom+bootie system yikes. Name another shoe where you getting all that. They put everything in its beefed up

I know i'm probably in the vast minority, but i really like these. Best j's since 14 imo. I have nothing past 14 and never have, but at 185 these are an easy cop for me.

I feel you on this though I have one of every #. But I'll be honest and say you shouldn't have missed out on the 18s and 23s. Both were great, especially the black suede/royal 18s. They were really nice and came with a suede brush.

Its like he said "you get the idea" when he turned in his sketch and they we're all "what do you mean? Its ready as is! Great job!"

Now that you say it, I did have 23's when I was younger. But I was like 9 when the 18s dropped lol.

Hey, yall gettin hyped up for flyknit, I'm pretty sure it's flyweave, the stuff on the KD 8.

Edit: Yeah, it's flyweave. Just so you don't get your hopes up.

I am talking about this second USA color he posted you can clearly see the line where the leather starts.
Transition on Bred seems to look better.

Same thing as the XXX'S I believe. People are going to find any little thing to complain about. On the 29s they did one pair with the elephant print and one pair with the GiaNT jumpman. The team orange jump and let and the photo reels pair werection the only pairs to really sell. Both huge jumpmans. On the XXX'S it was the jumpman on the toe that people hated. Now it's the jumpman on the heel. Show me the last signature nike shoe that release without a swoosh.

People need to stop complaining and realize these are performance basketball shoes. Y'all got your ****** quality retroes for casual. Turns out leather is pretty terrible for performance bball shoes.

I know, it looks amateur. You can easily see that its a piece of synthetic with embroidered bits all over it trying to fade it in. We're on the same page.

Hopefully there is some surprising colorway like Cosmos 30 that is worth buying.
So far nothing for me.

Hey man, I wasn't complaining. I own a pair of kd 8s, and I think they're good quality, if a little overpriced. I just think that flyknit is a higher quality material, so I was warning people saying that it was flyknit before they got their hopes up.

Can somebody PS the wings logo where the Jumpman goes? I feel like that would've looked 1000x better.

Looking at clips from the USA scrimmages and these shoes are sooo close to being dope, but yet so far.

Russ could have at least done a little homework on the price of a LaFerrari! They cost $1.4 million IF your on the list to buy from Ferrari (have to be selected) & over $3.1 Million on the pre-owned market. I cringed when he said $250K. And I like him (especially from his Slam magazine days) but there he sounded like a tool.

I was thinking the same thing.

I wasn't necessarily directing that comment at you, just toward the general consensus.

The flyknit on the XX9's were alright but the definitely stretched out after like 10 bball wears. The flyweave on the XXX'S hasn't stretched out at all for me. The flyknit is definitely more comfortable out of the box and for casual wear though.

That's my personal opinion on the difference between the two. Dunno if anyone has had the same experience or not.
