Other states don't need a minimum wage raise, the amount of taxes and cost to living in NY, and SF alone is a good enough reason to hike minimum wage. couldn't be any worse than what's been happening so far.

Minimum wage in SF is already pretty high.. I believe In N Out workers there start at around $19 or so from what I've heard.

Well......
The Bay Area is already expensive
Minimum wage in Some cities is already like $13 almost $14
While rent is on the high side
Will they raise rent prices as well
While also limiting raises since minimum wage will essentially do that for them
Like will there be a wage freeze on raises so they dont have to give out more money
Like so once they hit that $15 that's it on raises
It's already $15 in SF

cant stand when people talk down on jobs like fast food workers and act like they actually work that hard.  talking down on people who work 10x harder than u while u get to ***** about it on the internet at your job

Man how about lowering tuition rates, I couldn't care less about a minimum wage job. School is expensive as ****

you flip burgers papi?
na got a much easier job that pays double.  im just one of the very few people who doesn't try and act like what i do is harder than it is.....

people wanna talk down on a kid working at a busy mickey d's but than want a pat on the back for sitting at a desk all day browsing facebook

its not a kid working at micky d's though. Its adults trying to feed their family at a job designed for teens and college students who dont have families.

A Kid doesnt care about livable wage because a kid more than likely lives with his parents or is a student.

The price of living is gonna keep going up regardless.

FDR didn't make the minimum wage for teens and college students who don't have money.

People act as if 15 dollars an hour will get us and everyone out of poverty. 10 yrs ago i moved into my apt rent was 800. I made 15 per hour , lived within my means and still was broke. Now rent is 1100 and i make 2x as much BUT, what about the person who isnt fortunate enough to make 15 an hour but still have to pay 1100 for rent. They suppose to be ok with 9.50 because they work in a fast food spot while other people get 15 working at h&m? Money has blinded yall to the fact that we are the only species who pay to live here and money determines our quality of life which to me is a god given right

There's a reason thousands of businesses are moving out of the state to Nevada, Arizona, & Texas and the union paid legislature doesn't even care.

yeah, i'm sure all the minimum wage walmart, fast food, retail jobs are gonna transfer to Texas

very convenient not too compare cost of living.

this a great move overall, more consumer spending power. near future it may be difficult on the small business guys with

Come back with the data on the wages and cost of living when non managerial fast food jobs were first available.

What data is needed? The US had various industries that adults worked in and now we have a fraction of that.

You ever heard of this thing called outsourcing and automation?
