#Brexit vote is now VOL. RIP European Union.

Dumb mofos. They probably voted so they could brag about going out there and voting but now realizing they don't even know what they voted for.

Laughing at her asking if they'll get attacked for more or less now.

And then you got the Google stats that showed "what is the EU" "what happens if uk leaves eu" "what is brexit" searches spiked AFTER the voting was over :smh:

Goes to show that the defenders of Democracy don't always know how it's supposed to work.

I personally voted leave believing these lies and I regret it more than anything, I feel genuinely robbed of my vote[emoji]128545[/emoji][emoji]128548[/emoji][emoji]128557[/emoji]

Idiots learning the hard way that voting matters, and being informed matters. :smh:

Also there were tons of people saying that UKIP and the Leave Movement were blatantly lying about some things. Jon Oliver even made a video right before the vote, there was no reason not to have an idea what was really going on.

--------

To back off the doom and gloom, The UK will probably be all right. These short run stuff will dissipate after a few months, the long run damage will still be there but most folk don't be able understand/feel/comprehend the affects. Besides having to get visas, pay customs fees, and stuff like that

The big other thing might be Scotland bouncing, which is looking like it is a serious possibility.

It really hinges on how vengeful the EU is towards Britain, which I hope there aren't to be honest. There were legit concerns folk had about the EU, it is just that the Leave Movement was done in the most digneious and borderline disgusting way.

-------

Now the most important thing folk will realize, and it will happen soon, that they were lied too, and have just handled over their country to the far right wing.

They will renegotiate free trade agreements that help bankers and big business, and no one else.

They will still allow enough Eastern Europeans to keep wages low, and keep the cost of production down.

They won't use any money saved on the NHS, if their is any, because I'm pretty sure there are a wave of excuses coming the British people's way. Matter of fact, why would you trust people that want to destroy the NHS when they say they want to pump money into it. :smh:

They will blame the vengeful EU for any economic problems the country has for the next couple years. Even though they promised the people a leave movement will allow to enter the land of economic milk and honey

But they will stop the flow on refugees, might tighten immigration policy at the cost of everyone, and use Muslims as scapegoats for all the social problems in the country.

-This is want nationalism born out the far right brings. Nothing but fanciful stories, and half truths to get people scare enough so bigots can flourish and the expense of everyone else.

And to the Labour Party, please get your **** together, your country needs you.

over 74% turnout...i say da people  voters got exactly what they wanted...
72% turn out.

28% stayed home.

52/48 split. That's a margin of 4% of the 28% unaccounted for (and following the trend, likely comprised of the millennial 'remain' voters that didnt vote)

Hardly say it was the peoples choice. Even if you leave the nonvoters unaccounted for half the country is still in disagreement of the results.

But... Democracy had it's day. Hopefully this serves as a lesson for my age group the importance of enforcing our views en masse.

It's hilarious how everytime the left loses an election, they blame it on turnout and say that the will of the people was actually against what the results were. Happens in the mid term elections in the US too.

The UK reaped what it sows. This is what happens when you blindly vote for something without being properly informed.

So I assume you two are hoping for 74% turnout for the US election this fall?

Especially knowing what that means for your mans Trump

The millennials scare me. Down for every and anything. I pray they stay dumb forever. If someone is able to harness their sheepishness and use it for wrongs, it will be hell on earth. As seen in England. Voting for what they don't understand

Stay dumb? They have a pretty significant lead on formal education amongst every living generation.

Most millennials voted to remain, with a fraction of that amount (1/4 if I recall) voting to leave.

Millennial sheep lol... Leave voters in Wales and Canterbury voted out and now they're not even sure how they plan on sustaining their own economies w/o EU support

Makes you wonder is it better to vote when you don't know **** about what you're voting for or against or not voting at all?

Now I know the answer is to be informed and then vote but this evidence many don't no matter what.

I've always found that one of the fundamental flaws in Belgium's political system is mandatory voting.

It baffles me how this is still a law. Half of the voters probably don't have the slightest clue what they're voting for.

I know many people who literally ask their employers to work on voting day so they don't have to vote.

This always plays into the fact that IMO less than 5% of any country's population is informed enough and unbiased enough that they can make a good decision when voting. Mob voting is why the electoral college was instituted in the US. While far from perfect it does give slight protection.

I guess Plato was right, we should keep the politics to the philosophers or people of that nature of thinking. Seen too much wild stuff during my short lifetime when it comes to voting in the wrong people.

Blco is into Alex Jones now so you can be assured that there will be some sort of conspiracy theory excuse for the bigot's loss in November
