HBO's The Night Of

A couple weeks ago Nas was a deer in headlights in every scene..

Now my man is a G, making out with his lawyer, getting a man killed, tatted up, trap phones, drugs.

Damn.

Not sure what this show is going for.

The 'Bad' tattoo is so damn cheesy.
It says sin on the right hand and bad on the left hand, for "Sinbad".

The nickname he adopted from Freddy in the beginning.

Money well spent on Dr. Katz.

Looks like it'll be 1:35 hour long. Controversy could be they found the footage of Chandra and Naz kissing?

No way it's that.

After everything they've set up so far, it'd be super lazy and unrealistic to have "the kiss" be the thing to make a difference this late in the game.

Gonna watch tonight's ep again and knock out.
it says it puts stone in the spotlight does that mean she can't be his lawyer anymore because of the kiss?

She did say **** right after, checked to see if the officer saw them. Then the next scene was from the camera angle so I think it could pop up on the last episode.

This show is amazing, the writing, the acting the subtle gestures and humor and writing is phenomenal. Amazing show and honestly no matter how it turns out, I thoroughly enjoyed watching this show.

Oh snap. Yea I see that now.

RIP Chandra, so sad to see you go my love.

Good catch

I'm kinda confuse, why did ol dude kill himself or did he?Also, why did they kill dude at the end? Did he kill the other person? Was that dude sucking up him on last week episode? I couldn't make it out.

-Petey killed himself, he did it because he was being forced to give mouf to the dude Freddy killed at the end

-They killed dude at the end because Naz told Freddy that the dude was forcing Petey to suck him off. Petey paid for protection from Freddy, so he was to be left completely alone. The sexual abuse made Petey kill himself, and as a result, it ***** up Freddy's way of getting drugs into the jail. That's why Freddy slice his throat.

-Yes Petey was giving the dude that got killed at the end mouf in the last episode.

-I don't know what other person you're talking about that got killed

Even cheesier.

I dunno man...I feel like the story needed more time. Some of the character shifts were too drastic. Now Chandra is going in for the kiss in a cell? Am I the only person who thinks this was just the best way they could find to put Stone back in the spotlight.

And I was scoffing at the dialogue during the questioning of witnesses on he stand. That back and forth, snappy, conversational tone ain't going down like that in court.

I think I expected too much of a procedural after the first episode and this show is more about individuals than an accurate depiction of the system at this point.

Naz finesse'n Chandra bae...or did she finesse him

Using way too many "dudes."

Yes, the dead guy that Naz discovered while he was taking a piss killed himself because the other guy (whose throat Freddy slit at the end of the episode) was raping him (forced dome scene from previous episode). Freddy was mad at the guy for interrupting his cash flow (Petey's mom was smuggling drugs into the jail for Freddy, in exchange for Freddy protecting Petey).

Dead Petey = no more Petey's mom smuggling drugs for Freddy = angry Freddy = other dude gets his throat slit.

It's equal parts how the system works and how it affects the pplmconnected to this case.

Ain't much more of the system to dive in to for an 8 ep series. Gotta get to the plot and setting up a conclusion.

As for Chandra that was building up for quite some time. That was gonna happen then or after he was set free.

Like some said this cat has to have something to do with the case since they keep showing it as much as the foot fetish scenes.

Sad thing is that even if Naz is found innocent he is forever changed. I'm sure Freddy doesn't really want him to be free either.

Chandra and Nas better hope they don't look at any footage of them in the cell.

Stone would probably take over the trial.

This was a GREAT line from something I read on AV Club:

Box was never looking for the guy who did this, but a guy he could convict of the crime.

Another thing I was thinking...didn't Naz's two transgressions in HS take place AFTER 9/11? The PE teacher even said the overall vibe in the school was patriotic, or something along those lines. The prosecution is trying to paint a picture of some monster, but not taking any consideration in to what Naz may have been dealing with as a Muslim in NYC right after the towers went down.

Same can be said about them trying to paint a picture of him being some big time drug dealer...when all he's peddling is adderall. And if he's selling, why wouldn't he try to make a profit?

So are they ever going to bring up the fact that they found another body that reminded Box of the Nas case?
Like why was that scene even in the episode?

there is still so much outstanding. The Finale better end with a verdict....if its a cliff hanger im gonna break something

The Deer head
The other eye witness that ran when Stones found him at the Card Game
The Hurst Driver
I don't know how the Asthma will play into it but didn't realize that Nas was allergic to cats
Step dads maxed out CCs and him in general even being a suspect

If nas gets out he def gonna help omar.
