DJ Drama confirms Drake didn't write his RICO verse

Why do we do this man? :smh:

Outside of Cole and Kendrick who in the new school has a bigger following then Meek?

It's funny that you brought up Kendrick because he ducked him too. Right after he had what many consider the first classic rap album of the decade after MBDTF (so you can't say he wasn't popular enough) didn't give him bars just went up to Hot 97 and cried about it to Angie Martinez.

"No one should work with Kendrick anymore. [emoji]128546[/emoji]"

Been passive aggressive towards that man ever since.

Pusha T is a certified legend who I'd say is relevant enough for a response. He may not be a pop star or whatever but he deserves a response.

And can you really just call Budden a podcaster when he along with Phonte and Hov birthed Drake's who pre-808s/SFG style? And Drake has constantly hit him up for advice according to Budden...I mean the ***** is on camera singing Budden's praises...

I'm not sure where his head was at in 2013 :smh:

He should of responded after the Pajama Clothes line but dudes were crowning Kendrick as the next Nas at that point. He wasn't ready back then but its obvious he's more confident. The podcaster is a ex reality tv has been now.. you have to pick battles wisely man. Drake got multiple contracts out here he cant be throwing shots at dudes who pose no threat to him.

Why do you have a hard time believing that?

He would of responded to Common and all the other rappers who threw shots prior to Kendrick

He did. Stay Schemin. Heard of it?

I was referring to the remix Common did. Son called him Canada Dry and all that :smh:

When Meek threw shots on Twitter its clear he thought Drake wouldn't respond like all the other times he was dissed. Dude gained some type will power I never seen for him to drop Charged Up and Back 2 Back.

All 3 of the people involved look corny for this.

Drake- for calling himself a rap goat but don't pen all of his rap verses

Meek- for not having a conversation with Drake like a real one instead of being emotional and running with assumptions

Drama- for basically admitting he snitched on Drake to Meek about the ghostwriting

Rap is run by weirdos now

That was a reply to a reply. Common dissed him first...and he replied. So your idea that "he wasn't ready back then" doesn't really hold up. If he wasn't scared to go at with Common...why not go at Kendrick?

Your right I'm just making the point that he obviously isn't afraid at going at dudes anymore. He didn't want problems with anyone back then but times have changed.

Once again ppl rewrite history and claim Meek could of never won a battle against Drake. After his menstrual tweet fest all I heard was Drake would get washed in beef with Meek. Drake dropped Back 2 Back and dudes really got in their feelings. Now its Meek wasn't a nobody, he couldn't sell records and all these others tales.

Can dudes just admit they didn't expect Drake to embarrass him the way he did?
This.. its always goes back to Drake being too powerful to bring down. That has nothing to do with battling. Meek wanted an issue and he got responded to. Its not Drakes fault that ran off like a punk and took months to respond.

meek never stood a chance

I can't speak for others but I saw Meeks L early

meek couldn't handle cassidy

drake or his collective is wittier than cass and more popular

LL vs canibus status but worse cause bus was lyrical

Drake is like a boxer. He picks and chooses his battles wisely. I can't fault him. This generation doesn't demand the same things.

Meek is an idiot. He runs off emotion. It's not hard for me to believe this is what happen. If he didn't get in to rap he wouldn't have survived out on the streets this long acting like this. He flies off the handle without thinking first. That line was mad random. That could have been at Chris Brown, a random guy or even just standard braggadocio rap.

I just find it interesting Drake really got bars for Puff but nada for none of the real rappers that been baiting him

Him dedicating a entire song to Puff :smh:

no one cares cuz Drake is a cash cow for da machine, and his main fans are prepubescent girls & women who who just wanna meat Drake.

@ninjahood with the double entendre

isn't it known that consequence wrote stuff for ye? Interesting how it's disregarded, yet other emcees get torn down.

Kanye though was always seen he same way Dr Dre is. Fantastic producer who can rap but gets the best in the game to write rhymes. Kanye never put himself out there as the best lyricist.

Plus I see like with Dre, Kanye yeah they have ghostwriter but here dudes talent is the music they produce. If drake is getting his rhymes written for him, then what the **** does he actually do? What is he actually talent? Singers get their songs written for them, but they can sing though. What does he actually do beyond just being a tool for the label of that's the case

Gotta stop using dre and ye as a example to defend that ****.

Meek just doesn't have it in him to win a battle against anyone let alone Drake.

A mainstream battle requires a completely different approach than some hood Philly ****. You cant just hop on the mic and recite 50 different lines about ways you'd shoot and kill somebody. You also can't talk a bunch of material **** when you're going up against someone that dwarfs you in that arena either. Wit wins over all and Meek just never had that in him. Hard to play the "Drake has the machine card" when Meek just isn't capable of standing out in a setting like that even if Drake didn't have a machine behind him.
Ja had some of the machine.... but 50 also had the machine.

Why are dudes always talking about the fans these days would still go out and buy Drakes **** cause they don't know hip hop and what battles are about and ****?

Besides 50 and Ja, when has someone killing someone in a beef affected the losers numbers? And even in that case it could be argued that 50 had the machine behind him.

Jay got hit with one of the greatest diss tracks of all time, Rick Ross got exposed yet dudes in here still supported/support him. When has it not been like this?

I hope you posted that when all the people were saying Meek was dead.

and Ja went platinum after 50. Ja killed Ja by going away from his formula with Blood In My Eye, and the feds finished him off.

Ja himself will tell you that 50 ended him. 50 diss tracks and power at the time was unmatched. Even Jay Z knew to fall back till lke 07 lol
