Eagles fans, why are they so infatuated with having Darren Sproles as a ball carrier? Why not let Matthews be the workhorse and let Sproles be the 3rd down guy and pass catcher?

Mathews injury history shows he can't handle that type of workload...and it's not like Sproles ain't just as capable

no idea

smallwood and barner would have been in late for me (especially smallwood to get the rook some experience.. barner earlier see if he can be consistent and make other guys expendable).. unless they going try pull what I been advocating (trading Mathews and sproles for whatever picks we can get)

hell, I never even argued that dude was/is/will be good (because I didn't know).. simply that I could understand conceptually taking the risk and some folks couldn't handle it

And that's the thing:  Say Carson stinks it up his first two games.  This whole thread would have been ":rofl: :rofl: I told you he was trash, stupid Eagles, blah blah blah".  There wouldn't have been any of that "let's wait to see how he adjusts", or "It's too early to make a judgement".  But he looks good in his first couple of games, "It's the Browns".  "It's the Bears" "Let's wait for a little bit"

Carson looks nice so far. I laughed when the Eagles traded up for him.Trade looks great now, especially after they got a 1st for Sam Bradford. Even though it was the Browns and Bears he's still a rookie playing against NFL teams. Gotta give him some credit. Same with Dak who I really like. They don't look scared or timid and no mistakes.

he's reading defenses like a veteran, showing a natural leadership skillset and you can see he can make NFL throws

I'm not disputing any of that as of right now. We're basically on the same page. I just think it's too early to stamp a W or L decision 2 games in a rookie's career.

For the record...I was an advocate of trading up to get Wentz/Goff if your decision makers ultimately believed that player was a franchise QB. You just HAVE to make sure you get it right because it's obviously very costly.

@Chester McFloppy lowkey started losing his fastball some time before that. To be honest...our guy is probably looking at an under .500 record if we check dem stats on the battles he's chosen.

His elite deflection skills haven't diminished yet though so he's able to make up for it by diverting attention elsewhere.

Yeah dudes were high on Manziel because he was literally a human highlight reel in college. People didn't know the extent of his drug/alcohol problems back then though. Did he like to hit frat parties and bars? Yes, but we just chalked that up to him becoming a 20 year old god on campus
