NFL quality is wack compared to the 90s and its not nostalgia talking its fact. That being said I still love it and while most primetime matches have been wack I won't stop watching football. I stopped watching college football like 10 years ago. NFL is still way better then college.

I like Washington's offense, they got players. I still think they're the 3rd or 4th best offense in the division though and they have the worst defense in the division.

Bucs SB wasn't that long ago. If you a Bucs fan and witnessed it, you can claim it. When you start getting to that 15-20 year mark, then it's too old to bring up but we all view this topic differently. People still tell me the Giants last SB was dumb long ago like it was the 90s or something.

Happy to see the ratings go down. Roger is really ruining football. I haven't been into it as much this year as the previous years. These QB rules, taunting and celebration flags are killing me slowly.

Someone explain to me why fans aren't allowed to acknowledge/celebrate titles from before their time.

You're going to tell me your teams history isn't yours to appreciate if you weren't alive for it?

You can acknowledge it. It's part of their history but I don't bring up any of the Knicks titles. Was before my time, I know they won two but I'm quiet when it comes to ring talk. Hard to believe they ever won a ring.

Good rule franc. I'll add a rule to the rule book:

If your team has zero, don't go putting an expiration date on other people's rings....

peoples ages vary here from CP at 76 to nicholas at 19. if they witness a championship, they should be able to claim it. you guys cant slander CP for witnessing the 72 dolphins championship because we were not around.

Both of these posts were hilarious.

what is this date of championship talk?

well all y'all were alive for all of my squad's chips...so no skin off my back. and anyone who wasn't alive for all of them, not trying to care about their opinion anyway since they're probably in middle school.

seriously though, who cares? it's about the next one. always.

yeah but all they got is a solid group of receivers and a nice te. . i cant see them doing anything this year . they passing game is ranked middle of the road at 16th in the nfl so far.

I think people can talk about their teams championships no matter how long ago it was its their teams history and should be acknowledged I don't have a problem with that. My only problem is when people try to use those championships to bolster their terrible sports opinion and terrible analysis of the sport.

I also don't understand you guys talking about every primetime matchup is so wack....talking about "Jets vs Cardinals this week? :x"....I understand their records aren't the best through 5 weeks but how is that a bad matchup? Fitz vs Revis and B-Marsh vs Patrick Peterson, David Johnson and Matt Forte, both teams have tons of talent all over their defenses, Palmer will be back, both him and Fitzpatrick might throw 5 picks or might throw 5 TD's. Seems entertaining to me.

And people were complaining about last night's matchup like it didn't sound good whenever the NFL came out with the schedule...up and coming Bucs vs the defending NFC champs, divisional game, Cam vs Jameis in Jameis's first MNF game

Please stop complaining

To add:  Aren't all of these match-ups prime time predetermined based off of last season?  Cards were in the NFCCG, last year and the Jets went 10-6.  Bucs were looking like a must-watch upcoming team, and Carolina was also in the NFCCG last year.  Not taking up for the NFL, but they can't predict teams not performing up to their expectations.

It would be a lot better if they could flex games all season, but they can't for whatever reason.

And a very good O-line and a capable run game when Gruden/McVay aren't trippin'. They have PLENTY of weapons. However, none of that matters unless the 3 stooges (Cousins/McVay/Gruden) up their games.

This is exactly why folks are hard on Cousins. Even the most amateur eye can see that this squad is an average QB away from being 4-1 and really unlocking the potential of this offense. Cousins just has to get back to how he was playing over the final 9 games last year. He's gotten better since week 1/2, but he's got a long way to go. Has to cut down on the brain farts.

yeah im surprised the run game is ranked where it is. they 4th in the L. i thought it would be the opposite with them coming into the season.

Kaepernick getting his first start at Buffalo against a Bills defense that has played amazing this year besides 1 game. They also practice against a QB with his same skillset every day.

Chip Kelly knows what he's doing

Yeah, I was also thinking last night how good a Bucs/Panthers game might have sounded much better after last season. It could have been a good one. The problem is, the NFL basically takes a stab at expectations for every MNF matchup and it's failing because it seems like they suck at gauging potential when one or both teams end up being horrible.

You also can't have consistent winners on MNF every week. That on top of the fact that they don't get first pick all the time and still have to compete with CBS, FOX, SNF and TNF who get first pick each respective week as well. It might not be an MNF/ESPN thing, rather an NFL thing in how they establish these matchup of the week spots and who gets what.

Rule changes, limited practicing, etc. that have been implemented over the years is finally catching up to the NFL. Add that to the fact that offensive line play across the league is a damn near epidemic, mainly because the college game is vastly different than the NFL and this is the result.

He gives them their best shot at winning, but for the team's sake, I hope they keep him healthy. Gonna be extremely costly if he gets hurt.

There's been talks that they restructured his deal. That's probably the only reason he's starting now and didn't start earlier.

That would make sense if they did that behind the scenes....crazy gamble to put him out there when the team would be on the hook for 15mil next year if he got hurt.

After Washington beats Philadelphia Sunday everyone will say the Eagles were frauds like the Giants are. Our defense has been getting better by the game. Only putting up 16 against Baltimore defense isn't a issue. They came into Sunday ranked 1 in yards I believe.

If your team last won a ring 15+ years ago you can't brag about that today. You can use it to look back at the history, nothing wrong with that but to say "my franchise is great we won 20 years ago." Stop.

On another note I'm shocked at how the Panthers have fallen off a cliff right now. I don't recognize that defense.
