LOL. Philly fans get so damn sensitive when you mention Wentz's poor play. After those first 2 weeks, all the praise in the world for their QB.

Now, they've seen enough from him to know he'll be great and it's the WR's that are the problem. No criticism can be given to the kid for his mistakes. LOL.

25th Smith 6.88
3rd Prescott 8.35

Not too sure that's the comparison you want to make but that was a good effort from you.


Only Eagles fans seem to think it's shade to compare Wentz to Smith. Not a knock at all if you ask me.

I'm just trying to figure out why certain people are hellbent on nitpicking this guy's rookie season so much.  Especially considering the trash he's working with, and the fact that he's also working with a rookie head coach.  Every rookie QB isn't going to be Cam Newton out the gate (Hell, most won't, for that matter).  Derek Carr's average pass was 5.46 yards his rookie year.  Now he's a legitimate MVP candidate.

I mean, I get it.  ESPN went crazy with the comparisons three weeks in, and some Eagle fans (none on this board, as far as I know) may have gotten a little extra happy getting T-shirts made and the whole Wentzmania crap, but y'all have been watching football long enough to know how this goes.
