you have to land solid starters at the least in the 1st and 2nd rounds.. and every other 3rd

3rd and above is where you fill out your roster and get your cheap labor.. sure it's nice to get stars or even find gems.. but this is where you're getting your starting guards.. guys you can groom to take over at right tackle.. 2nd and 3rd CBs.. specific situational guys (speed rusher DE.. nickel LB or CB).. 4th and above is depth and special teams guys

certain positions you gotta go high.. or you're hoping to luck out and/or develop.. or you're only getting those guys there because of some sort of character issue

Kendall fuller , Baltimore :pimp: ....but I think the bucs got a couple FSU players on the squad, they trying play to college fans to get em interested in the team

Some of these draft picks have me wondering how us, who sit here, read the reports, and analyze all this **** for free, are better at this than the dudes who get paid to do it.

Because a lot of times guys in these positions aren't there because of their aptitude but rather relationships, like a lot of jobs.

yup the good ole boy network is alive and well in the NFL.. you always gotta wonder why certain dudes are allowed to fail or be mediocre in so many locations

then you got some that would have been in bad situations and never get another shot

Now that LA has the Rams, Las Vegas is going to become the new bargaining chip for teams trying to get tax payer money for their stadiums.

Yeah dumb comment. If California were a country, it would have the 6th largest economy in the world. It only has one more football team than New York state and Florida.

Cali is the biggest state with multiple big metro areas...only questionable team is the Sac kings but even that is still the capital city n they get alotta luv if they win

It's a combination of relationships, experience, grinding, timing and aptitude.

It doesn't mean that all those qualities are in equal measure.

It's a lot different saying stuff on a message board and doing it real life.

Jags come up though. :pimp:

Blake, Allen & Allen. :pimp: :pimp: :pimp:

Can't wait to see Fowler/Jackson/Yannick/Jack/Ramsey on defense too.

Don't even remember the last time I've been as excited about a defensive player coming out as I am about Ramsey.

Agreed. Jacksonville really doesn't need a team.
I kinda disagree.. with how the state is setup, you essentially have 3 teams to cover the basic areas

dolphins get south florida, obviously.. tampa gets central and the west.. and the jags get the north and upper east parts

with how big and prominent college football is within the state, you can see the reasoning for catering to each part of the state.. jax might not be the best location for the NFL, since it's a big college football town and most people there travel to gainsville, tallahassee and/or Athens for college games regularly (and they host the florida/Georgia game every year)

but I could see why the state would have 3 teams

Raiders and Vegas officials want to build a $1.9 BILLION dollar stadium. And they want tax payers to pay the majority of that cost.

No way in hell that happens.
