pretty much.. as you get older and give more thought to everything that went down you can sympathize and empathize with her and her problems and issuesWhen I was younger I used to despise Jenny. Now that I'm older and could see things from a different perspective, I understand where Jenny is coming from.
It's really all unfortunate timing. As someone said earlier, by the time Jenny really did understand just how simple love is, it was time for her to go. Part of what made Forrest Gump such a memorable movie was just how human the characters were. I guess that's one element you see throughout all great films.
