FX's ATLANTA (Starring Donald Glover) S4 Final episode

Everything is made up *****, stay woke.

I wanted Zan to die god he was annoying

I don't think he's dumb. He turned a $190 investment into $4000-$5000 return in a day's work and settling in a few months( assuming this happened in the summer)

He asked earn clearly if you need the money now or more money. He's very literal. Earn should've asked further questions. For being accepted into Princeton, he's not as smart as he thinks he is. My first question would've been how is this sword gonna make me more money. Be specific

I thought the last episode was dope af. Touched on exploitation in a few different ways. It even exploited Asian stereotypes with a few different characters: the crying Asian man, the Asian gangster, and the "black" Asian. A business deal for a sword?

I think the show is deeper than some are giving it credit for.

The background Korean trap music:

Yeah. I even watched the short doc on how that crew formed up. Underwater Squad or Cohort Crew or whatever they're called.

Edit: was gonna post a link, but I can't find it now. Saw it last year. It was about an hour long and all subtitled. Not the Noisey one. Talked about how they grew up in the same projects together.

This is the best show on tv though :nerd:

We gotta establish if it's even the best show on FX..

Bar kinda high between still running fargo.. then i got youre the worst and archer in a toss up

Not sure if louie is still going or not, so cant count that as current

Best writing on FX. This is a throwback to the simpler times of TV when the topics hit home and were relatable.

When's the last time a TV show was so relatable? Martin?

Show feels more personal which makes me like it more.

I like all the shows you mentioned but they don't "feel" like this show although they're very entertaining.

Gotta make it through the season before we really start talking

And all of the above had made it at least 2 seasons of greatness

Cant even say that about true detective with how great that 1st season was

I think it's pretty well written, especially the premier. I don't watch TV much anymore but I can tell I'm going to like this show more as it progresses.

Show is the goods but nothin related to Atlanta. Still not sure why they chose that name. May be still early but no real correlation besides wings and Bankroll PJ

yea, the show is solid but these zanstans are making it out to be the greatest tv show ever.

People these days just can't enjoy something for what it is, always want to do too much. After 3 really good episodes and one meh one u got people claiming "this is the best show on television" "the writing is breathtaking" like son relax

The term "GOAT" is thrown around way too loosely these days. It's losing it's meaning. It's also NT's go to reaction for things they really like.

GOAT and Classic have been meaningless terms for nearly a decade now

This whole Steve McQueen gag got me.. I legit want to know if dude knows who the hell Steve McQueen is
There's the actor and the black director. Hilarious bit.
Two Actors and the Black Director. The other actor Steve McQueen is his grandson.
That grandson aint in ****

I was waiting for the director to be mentioned for more confusion.
nah.. I expected some random mention of one of his movies.. like some quip about 12 years a slave or shame.. or some reference to one of steve McQueen's movies (like making some analogy to the great escape or the Thomas crown affair).. even I would have been lost of they referenced the other one

just something where you could see they weren't all exactly thinking of the same person, but all of them thinking they know more than the other

Couldn't have said it better.

Yeah, the fourth one was the weakest one as far as comedy

But there were some underlying points. Zen was annoying, to showcase how trolls are. You think they're one way from behind the computer and you realize how they really are in real life. Online is where their power lies. Paperboy was disgusted that he even wasted his time and energy on him. They only have the power that you give them.

Plus the Darius part where he was thinking long term and not short term. He was essentially investing. But too many of look at the short term goals.

When Paperboi rolled up on Zan, you felt bad because this was a blogger who delivers pizza....then you felt even worse b/c he had, who we thought was his son, in the back seat of the car.

Then it turns out lil' man was his business partner

All the sympathetic feelings folks may have had for him went right out the window. Goes to show that these bloggers/trolls/pranksters sometimes ca'tn separate what they do on the computer from how they actually try to live their lives.
