Charlize Theron dressing her black adopted son in a blonde wig and dress...Vol...fam..

I may wear a dress to the club this weekend to see if it will help me with the yambs.

The LBGTQ community still doesn't have blanket Civil Rights protections.

That means in some states, unless their is a state or city law, someone could fire someone just for being gay, or not rent to them just because they are gay. If they want recourse they will have to sue, and pray to baby Jesus they get the right judge.

Cats still on hating on gay dudes?

Is that going to be changed soon? Or in works of changing it?

You shouldn't fire folks cuz they're gay.

That's just lame.

I always want to know why some heterosexual men feel the need to champion super hard for homosexuality.

Like they fight hard for it. Do you see it as a cause you are trying to support? Or do you have friends? Or do you really see an injustice?

At this stage in 2016 I see 0 obstacles in a homosexuals life and not sure what we need to keep fighting for their rights for. It's almost like a trend.

Or a convenient 2016 super liberal package that's sold in stores that all these guys follow and have the same opinions and be this super open intellectual...

Why can't everyone just live?
I've never had negative views about homosexuality, but as a male nurse I've worked with a number of gay men and got the opportunity to learn more about the extent of the struggles they face. Prior to that I hadn't really had extensive contact with gays. Experiences can also vary greatly depending on the environment. My highschool was quite progressive and the openly gay kids were fairly popular, both with men and women. However in another school in the same area, a guy committed suicide because he was relentlessly bullied for being gay.

They might have the right to marry now, but there is still a very negative stigma associated with being gay. Not to mention discrimination in the job market.

Belgium was one of the first countries to legalize gay marriage, but that stigma still remains strong today. In fact, the word gay is still commonly used as a negative adjective. I still hear the f-word on occasion too.

Despite them being fully included in civil rights protections where I live, it still happens somewhat frequently that gays are shunned at work by their coworkers, straight up bullied out of the workplace or even fired for being "openly gay".

That also results in clinical depression and suicide rates amongst gays being significantly higher than heterosexual men.

It is going to take an act of Congress to change things, because the LBGTQ community need to be added to the Civil Rights Act.

The LBGTQ community won't get blanket federal protection until their are 60 Senators, and liberal control the House of Representatives. So that is not happening anytime soon.

If the Supreme Court does become progressive (which depends on the outcome of the election because the President nominates Justices) then this new laws that make it easier to discriminate against the LBGTQ community will probably get struck down sooner or later.

Rusty being so insensitive with his knowledge drops.
Get with the times bro......its LBGTQ + now, not just lbgtq.

Im kidding tho. I only learned about the Q and the + a couple of days ago when the vancouver parade was on tv.

Yea that social justice warrior TREND. Racism was so a thing of the past, it's almost like a fad now. #BLM always crying racism, it's the year 2000 everybody is on equal footing. Am I right? #GOTRUMP

My g

Just because someone disagrees with you dors not mean they're the stereotypical Trump supporter.

I agree with that because a few members have expressed that exact sentiment

But there are also people who I believe wouldn't want their son in a dress because they think it will "turn" their child gay. That could be just because of the optics and how they think it reflects on them as a parent, or it could be that they just don't like gay people
But my question is why do we semi shame people for saying they wouldn't want/allow their sons to wear a dress? ( irregardless ( @AZwildcats   ) of WHY they wouldn't want them to do so)
You use one word wrong once, and this is what happen

I just don't understand what is wrong with a male wearing a dress. Articles of clothing have no gender.

If you really think about it, why don't men wear dresses???

all these keyboard warriors cutting for men wearing dresses but know damn well they would never put on a dress themselves.

Men do wear gowns and dresses in many cultures. And honestly "pants" are a relatively modern and very western article of clothing. I mean we have no problem today with women wearing pants but misogynistic, homophobic NT type insecure dudes were panicking in the 40s and 50s cause they thought if women started wearing pants men will lose their power.

A lot of parallels here......

It's all cultural b. Don't know how that's lost on people in 2016. Cultural shifts change things.

Women in Kabul in like the 60s and 70s were wearing western fashion. By the 2000s they had to be covered almost completely by law.

I say all this to say it's just clothes. I don't care what other people are wearing unless it's easy to make fun of.

my son still would have to buy his own **** though

Women wore dresses because it was easier for them to pee like that before modern plumbing.
There are some nters who sit to pee so they may want to pursue that idea.

Those things that samurais wear in the animes. I like those things.

But yall are tripping talking about wearing dresses.

So if I wouldn't put on a dress, that somehow gives me the right to shame someone else for having the balls to?
no im just saying you know you would never wear a dress and you know exactly why...and a kilt isn't a dress. smh
