Official 2017 Knicks Offseason thread, Phil Jackson gone

Melo ain't the only guy to blame for this season man.

Melo def has his flaws on the court (as all players do) but this man has been invested in winning and has given it his all, since he's gotten here.

Rose out with an injury, KP fouled out (becoming too much of a regular occurrence) and our other big name summer signing just being flat out unproductive (eventhough he grabbed some big rebounds and played good D yesterday)...who keeps battling, hitting impossible shot after impossible shot? Locking down the other teams best player on critical plays, finding his young teammates for big shots?

Melo, man.

He's been doing it season after season and games like yesterday show that he need a better roster around him before fans start heaping all of the blame on him.

We've surrounded the man with a bunch of players who aren't even in the league anymore and now we're cutting him down in national spotlight and running him out of town to repay his loyalty and professionalism.

This is why we're trash and why we'll continue to be trash until we get the right minds in the front office.

Remember earlier in the season in the thread where it'd seem like we were having a Melo debate after damn near every game? I don't remember the people that were anti-Melo but I'm just wondering where those sentiments went all of the sudden. 

Seemed like a good number of people in here earlier in the year wanted Melo gone at whatever cost for the sake of the team but ever since this thing heated up it's been nothing but "Keep Melo" and general Melo praise 

How does that work?

Expect KP to continue to be in foul trouble. He's not experienced. This is how it's going to be as long as he's relied upon to be the team's defensive stopper in the paint. Plus the amount of minutes he's playing.

Not to mention he is not consistently good one on one.

Not gonna lie, I got on Melo every single time when he went full ISO mode. Then once the losses started coming, I said **** it trade everyone, lets rebuild the right way.

This is a really bad breakup and it shouldn't be this way. If Phil makes any trade outside of that Nets pick, I hope the NBA vetos it similar to that CP3 deal.

Really though this is an interesting read. I was never anti-Fisher at any point last season either except for the Matt Barnes thing. He took a awful team to a 22-22 record before losing 8 straight. He didn't start looking real bad until Phil pushed his influence on the team.

Hack piece. I don't care about that *****'s life. More **** about Barnes' baby moms and sons than about the Knicks.

He made a lot of excuses for his time with the Knicks but it's not a surprise since he was a rookie head coach.

One thing I do agree with him on:

"I see how quickly it shifts and changes when people are told something they don't even know if it's true or not,"

I see this all the time in this thread.

Seems he's never gonna coach in the league again. Ol Mark Jackson lite kind of *****.

I gotta say though it must burns slow that Fish is having so much fun with Barnes kids like that.
