I'm not looking at it from a money standpoint. I think players should definitely get paid. I'm looking at it at the standpoint of the quality of the NBA. A lot of dude would should never be in the NBA, would be drafted in the Top 15.

college football is terrible
I actually like watching college basketball more than watching a regular season nba game
but then again i'm biased because i'm in the college basketball mecca

Bust are going to happen whether they jump straight from HS or go to college.

All that really needs to be said

Although like I referenced, football I SOMEWHAT understand the age limits
I don't at all.

CTE is real and if these guys are good enough to play in the NFL, you have to let them, given their very short years for massive earning potential.

****** in CFball are straight up getting brain damage w/o any compensation at all for years. That's terrible. That's slavery.
Not quite slavery but definitely indentured servants. Man I got buddies who played Big 10 Football and got drafted to the pros. Some made it and some got cut. But the common decominator is that they all said they would never play college football again lol

The human body from 17-18 is much different from 21-23. Dudes would die on the field straight out of HS.

Agreed, I think the only thing people would really argue against this is if the guys are physically ready. Then that would lead to people saying they should play CFball so they can get physically ready for the NFL

Like is was said before, college does tend to weed players out.

I think this point is overstated when it's literally a semester and a half later. What quality of play are they gaining in that 6 month period that improves the game? If they're great they'll stick if not, they won't. No amount of time in college is going to change that for the elite prospects.

there's probably more euro and 3-4 year college player busts than straight out of hs busts

I got friends who played College basketball then played / play in the NBA, and they tell me that the NBA and College Basketball are almost totally different sports and that college didn't prepare them for the nba at all, on or off the floor.

College basketball does nothing for guys who are destined for the nba.

As I said, scouting has evolved. I just don't see how this line of thinking is valid. A handful of youngsters isn't going to tip the scales that much in terms of tainting the overall quality of the league

We know about these kids as general fans, if scouts could be devoted to it, they would know these kids inside out if they had the chance to. It would aid in not picking players who aren't ready in the first round. These kids who aren't ready would receive this feedback and it would then be up to them what they want to do

Name some.

Dudes like the Harrison Twins, Cliff Alexander, Cheick Diallo, Archie Goodwin come to mind that the jump to the NBA would have been brutal

College players will never get paid.

If you pay the football & basketball teams you also have to pay the volleyball & swimming teams.

So talk about guys like Adam Morrison and Jimmer who were freaking LOTTO PICKS and flamed out with little fanfare. Those are a dime a dozen.

Only stringer, lil Zeke and Lowry have more than 3 years college experience on the East all star team.

Draymond, Klay on the west

Of course, the pool is much smaller than the other two.

honestly I felt like Adam Morrison would've been decent if he never got hurt
I mean it even took JJ Redick awhile to figure it out in the NBA
but what about dudes like Dame Steph CJ and Kawhi?
college helped them extremely
