He's a top-5 PG in the league. Period.

Just saying -- outside of his assist numbers, everything else isn't screaming top 5 when looking at the grand scheme of things. His minutes per game and usage rate could be the argument for his scoring and/or assist numbers. Not to say he isn't top 5, but just look at everything for a second ...

- not top 5 BPM amongst PG's
- not top 5 RPM aongst PG's
- top 3 in turnovers
- #22 in assist to turnover ratio
- the 3rd lowest FG% among top 20 scorers in the league

if i dig deeper, i could find more numbers. i'll put him closer to the other guards than where Russ, Curry and Cp3 are right now. That's the simple way of saying it. That doesn't mean he can't get there being that he's only 26, though.

His shooting has improved over the years, but I do agree that he needs to cut down on the TOs.

That being said, I need a happy medium between advanced stats/eyeball...because though Wall isn't on the level of Steph, CP3, or Westbrook, he's not out of the top-5 discussion at all.

I think I'm with the grizzly fan. Wall is too flaw. He'll never lead a team to the promise land, he needs a strong supporting cast. Think about it, is he really better than prime rondo who was a 2nd/3rd option at best?

Considering prime Rondo had 3 hall of famers he was playing with, I don't even know what you're getting at...

Exactly, I'm not sure he's better than rondo and rondo is next to nothing without the big 3. I don't think wall will never be the hands down best player on a deep playoff team

John Wall hasn't led a league average offense yet and while his team and coaching certainly matters here, he plays a part in that. Simply put, it's some serious limitations for a high usage PG in today's game who can't shoot.

What's worse with Wall, is that he's starting to take more and more midrange jumpers even though he's really bad in that area. He shot over 100 (way over) more midrange jumpers than 3's last season, but only made like 35% of them.

Last year was the first year of his career that he shot a league average percentage from 3, on good volume. This is encouraging but if you're taking 8, 9 midrange jumpers a game and are really bad at them, you're almost negating all of this progress.

How good John Wall becomes from this point will largely depend on how he balances this midrange infatuation with 3's.

Funny how things work

hes dumb because he got honey **** by pop and timmy d whispering sweet nothings in his ear when the spurs are all about team ball and he was clearly looking to be the man on a contending team.

you cant have your cake and eat it too.

he probably had it after they signed pau

the guy hates playing center and pau coming over assures that he will be playing center.

no doubt the spurs probably told him he woukdnt be playing center if he signed

funny how the spurs sign two guys in back to back seasons who hate playing center and are horrible on defense and the one guy who was willing to play center when hes a true power forward and a great defender end up retiring

This isn't the first time rumors surrounding Aldridge's future with San Antonio have surfaced. Last season, there were rumblings in NBA circles that Aldridge wanted to be traded before the All-Star break, maybe to a team like the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Spurs didn't bite, though, won 67 games and advanced to the second round of the playoffs.

Those close to the situation suggest Aldridge may not be happy at the moment. The belief is the Spurs pitched him on becoming the center of their offense when they recruited him in 2015, and that hasn't occurred with the rise of Kawhi Leonard

Wouldn't lose a wink of sleep.

This pelican team is hell.
They only rival the nets as far as most random collection of players ...I keep saying "damn he on there too?"

My guy Delaney out chea , Baltimore excellence :pimp:
Both situations could've been easily avoided and everyone knew a trainwreck was imminent as soon as the questionable acquisitions were made :smh:

I'm extremely disappointed at the rosters of both teams.

If it leads to the Spurs having dysfunction and finally going the **** away,
