Not necessarily. Boston still had 2 years left, could have beat them in 2012. Then the Pacers came in and gave them all they could handle. Also KD going to GS did effectively eliminate their biggest competition in OKC as well.
Perhaps but you could tell they were on there way out. 2010 was their last crack at it. Young Pacers were something.

I don't know if I'd say OKC was their biggest competition. They did play them great.  I still think SA could've give them problems. Pop can make adjustments as needed.  Seeding is so wack out West. No easy outs.

Why is travel such an issue? These dudes aren't going by horse and buggy, privately chartered planes where the longest flight is maybe 4.5 hours c'mon man.

It's a pain for the media to travel. Lots of them take coach and have to move equipment

Not really, with KD and Serge along with Adams they had the size and length to defend them and should have won that series. West isn't nearly as close as the standings indicate. Spurs on down don't have a chance against this version of the Warriors, only Terminator Bron and Mamba Jr. can stop them.

What is up with our front office dudes man....

Such a dumb thing to say no awareness at all

Dude REALLY thinks he has a pass due to who he married....

The dumbest part is no one would have thought anything of it if he just left out a few words

His actual words...
“I know you guys may be angry with me, but I’m used to it because I have a black wife and three mixed kids, so I’m used to people being angry and argumentative.”
Could have just said...

"I know you guys may be angry with me, but i'm used to it because I have a wife and three kids, so i'm used to people being angry and argumentative"

That simple no one would have thought anything of it but this dude had to take it racial stereotypes

Whole organization needs to be contracted or at least go to sensitivity training.

I'm also expecting a spoof by Donald Glover on next season's Atlanta.

I'm saying.

Dude is an idiot, if you gonna play off stereotypes, at least make it funny.

You're leaving out haslem, arroyo, james jones and Magloire. This guy brought Z with him from Cleveland, had Mike Miller and Eddie House. Also had Erick Dampier/Juwan Howard on this team. Not saying these are world-beaters but had some decent pieces.

The strength of GSW outside of their core was that their bench were solid and they were deep and by getting KD, they lost a lot of that.  I'm not saying what KD and Lebron did were the exact same thing but people jumping on KD for joining a team that built theirs from the ground up and lost a ton of players that made them special as a whole.

KD didn't handicap two other franchises in doing so. The West is still competitive after his signing. Cleveland wasn't the same until Bron returned, Toronto just became relevant recently. When Lebron bounced, it was just Miami. Boston was already pass their window.
He handicapped OKC definitely because they are a fringe playoff team now probably stuck in purgatory.
Bron didn't handicap Miami as they were still a top 3 team in the East. KD did handicap the West in a way though
gsw's biggest competition is the spurs who aren't even that good. and the West is pretty weak now overall. every team below the 5th seed is mediocre or terrible.
All in all though I have no problem with what KD did because if he never got a ring those same people crying about him going to gsw would be clowning him for not having a ring.
I just don't think it's the same. It would be like Bron signing with the celtics

Who's to say if the Celtics had money to sign Bron he wouldn't have done it

 @ rule changes "making" this look like the greatest era.

Yea not the fact that offensive and defensive systems are as advanced and effecient as ever, not the fact that players have become more effecient in general, not that there are more talented players in the league at this time compared to any other.

Wait, just looked at who posted this.

You got me.

You always try to front like you don't know whose post you read, quoted and replied to yet you stay quoting me

I still like and support him but Durant did a sucka move. Period. It was a boss move for GSW though. You get a superstar and you eliminate your biggest threat.

I dunno man I'm over the hating of Durant's decision.  Dude signed his OKC extension with no complaint and put in mad years living in Oklahoma on a team with no offensive system to speak of, playing next to a pretty selfish player and didn't complain about any of it.  What does he owe anybody?

Meanwhile as far as superstars go he's probably the most smooth in terms of fitting into any offensive system you put him in because he can play with or without the ball, etc..  I think it's dope he went to the highest evolution point of team offense in the NBA.

Korver to come off bench with Cavs; LeBron still pushing for another point guard

Kyle Korver isn’t even wearing a Cavs jersey yet, but LeBron James is pushing General Manager David Griffin to do more.

The Cavs and Atlanta Hawks are still finalizing a deal that will send Korver to Cleveland and move out Mike Dunleavy. Another shooter to replace the injured J.R. Smith is nice, but James’ focus hasn’t changed. The roster isn’t championship-ready until they add another point guard.

“We still got a couple more things we need to do,” James said. “We got to get a point guard. It’s my last time saying it. We need a point guard.

“I think that’s the next step. You look at our league, most teams have three point guards. We only have two with Ky and our rook in Kay (Felder). I think just having that security blanket. Every NFL team has three quarterbacks. Having that security blanket in case of a David Carr. We’ll see what happens, but, we’re happy with our team right now.”

Carr, of course, is the Oakland Raiders quarterback who is out with a broken leg.

Once the Korver deal is complete, coach Tyronn Lue said he will come off the bench and DeAndre Liggins will remain a starter because Lue likes the way Liggins defends opposing point guards.

Lue called Korver one of the three best shooters coming off screens, grouping him with the Warriors’ tandem of Steph Curry and Klay Thompson.

“Especially a guy who can move without the ball the way he moves coming off screens and things like that, there’s no better guy,” Lue said. “You put him on the floor with Channing, RJ, LeBron and the floor will open (up) wide, so now you got to pick your poison when you try to help off Kyrie and LeBron.”
