Houston Rockets 2017 Preseason Thread - Spurs MyPlayers Take Over

Need Dekker, Wiltjer and Bobby Brown getting minutes. I know Bev is in on his rest is for suckas kick, but he needs it too, and Ariza as well  if I see a guy casually walk past Ariza to the rim, I may break my phone in half

Here's a list of some of the 20 charities that will share a $4 million donation from Rockets owner Leslie Alexander. Last year, Alexander wanted to give back to the community and asked prospective charities to register at Rockets.com to be reviewed for possible selection.

Nene Harden with that Brazillian Euro
Lou Trill
The Ryan Anderson-less flourish
Sam Dekker Bird byke? I even saw him moving his feet decent on defense its all effort once he gets comfortable.
JH catching that body he'd been overdue for (on Steven Adams :smokin)

Needed him to do that for the campaign. I'm still hearing folks talking bout some co-Mvp though |I

if we can play like this in the playoffs, we got a fighter's chance. OKC is one of the better defensive units in the league imo. Still concerned about our interior D, but the offense looked focused and virtually unguardable against OKC

^Dekker simply being quicker than Anderson did wonders yesterday. Agree about the interior d as well. A lot of times, there was straight up no one in the paint, and the other times, Kanter was just backing Capela like he was a child. Taj was eating too before their coach coached.

Glad they were able to cut the lead, but Jesus Christ they're getting out-hustled. So many rebounds and second chance points

A whole lot of missed opportunities in this game. Too many turnovers, missed layups, giving up the paint, etc

Harrell need to play instead of nene when we play GS

For whatever reason Harrell always has a good game against them, even going back to last season.

i think we can match up with GSW because we can actually force steph to guard someone, and he always ends up picking up fouls because of it. harrell should get minutes against them because so much of their defense involves running us off the line and forcing us into drives. harrell actually attacks the rim strong on rolls. just a better fit against them than nene.

just can't have opening quarters where we get beat to death on backdoor cuts for layups.

I used to subscribe to that thinking that we used to beat them regularly pre Kerr was because we kept either Curry or Thompson in foul trouble but that really hasn't been the case lately since.

While I think we can match up decent with GSW I just don't think we can hang with them, especially if the 3s aren't dropping. And as I'll keep saying, until we find us a counter or an equal to Draymond Green then we will continue to lose to them.

That most definitely was the case around that time. It was damn near automatic. But I'm guessing that was before Draymond replaced David Lee and Curry became this other worldly dude. Those Warriors teams also had Jarrett Jack, then eventually the underdeveloped versions of Kent Bazemore, Harrison Barnes, and Marreese Speights. The Rockets have to play near perfect basketball to beat them now. Harrell and Dekker were both key in that early season win, and in both games since, they either haven't played, or were non-factors on the court.

We used to have that guy tho.......but yea he left then his knees fell off.

I remember telling bruhs on twitter after we beat Dallas that year that Parsons had a microfracture on the low that offseason and it was gon be hard for him to bounce back.

bruh, if we had chandler parsons now (2014-2015 healthy parsons), even over ariza, we would be so damn good.

Does the opposing teams shooting % just jump when we face them? It's like their sliders get turned on when they see us

Again, this shooting % is off the wall for the Blazers, whether it's contesting or not. The defense is straight up poor as well. This team is much better than this
