actually going through game highlights and each game individually like the 90s
. Reason I go to the Internet to watch highlights is cause ESPN went away from that years ago. Sport center is not watchable anymore..
Also nfl network and nba TV exist. Those are much better options then espn.

Agree with the 30 for 30 love. Live sports and 30 for 30. Only time i look for ESPN..

It's got everything the average American sports fan needs.

If you're not interested in only basketball, baseball or football then yes, i understand why you might not like them.

Their coverage of any other sport is laughable.

In no world are the NFL Network or NBA TV better options.

They are basically incomparable. Those 2 cater only to one sport.

ESPN offers much more than those 2 combined.
 
I tune in to pass time while I commute. To me, it's better than listening to the world news.

I usually start with Mike & Mike in the morning via the ESPN app.

Then listen to the podcast from the previous day for First Take and Jalen & Jacoby.

I mean it's only so much time in the day.

They cover ALL sports.

Because your watching it wrong doesn't mean they are trash.

They have specific shows for each sport that goes through each games highlights.

Hell they have like 6 for the NFL alone.

I think people want SC to be something it has never been and just cast that over all of ESPN.
 
I used to watch it all the time. Now I just watch 30 For 30, E:60 specials and the live games, and may just have it on in the background with headphones on outside of that. A ll of the people's personalities just became grating over the years. I want to see coverage and analysis with some humor thrown in, not baseless narratives and agenda-filled solioquies
 
ESPN is horrible on Saturday and Sunday. All they talk about is college football and the NFL. But other than that I still like the live sports games, 30 for 30, e60 and PTI
 
the biggest gripe that I have with them personally is that they cater to the casual/middle american sports fan.. 

being in sports threads on NT and consistently checking up sporting news on social media has me loathe ESPN's shows and other broadcasts.

the personalities on shows always spew random hot takes, often times whenever I catch myself watching one of their shows, I realize they have no idea what the **** they're talking about..

I know a lot of their viewers have a problem with them adapting somewhat of hip-hop culture, broadcasters reciting lyrics, having boom bap beats playing before commercial break.. etc. 

the right has also adopted the opinion that ESPN is too 'PC'

Its more click bait now, there is no analysis. **** Stephen A Smith he just screams and its like watching a ******* facebook sports debate. It used to be insightful with different view points and just a better knowledge of sports. **** is ridiculous now.

only time espn is on is during live gms that i want to watch. mostly nba games, nfl matchups been horrible and i usually get home when the score is lopsided and don't even bother.
their shows are horrible. they are focused on developing "personalities" instead of actual good content. they choose the "hot takes" garbage :x

Bomani's radio show should be on TV and Lebatard should be on a better network than the U. Instead they push sports cliche radio like Mike and Mike and Rusillo & Kannel
 
They did it to themselves. Loosing rights to football (soccer) like the premier league, champions league and now the world cup

It's a huge sport in this country and growing contrary to what some might have you believe

problem is, it's 2016, ppl can listen to it anytime. access to content is everywhere.
dont even know why they are still showing poker. that wave been dead. better off airing some e-gaming, pro wrasslin, etc
with sports networks like mlb, nba, nfl, etc. there's really no need to watch espn outside of their gms

Thats because FS1 isnt available to the common cable subscriber. You have to buy a certain package to get FS1, which also will give you other channels you dont even care for and will never watch so is it worth the extra $40?

ESPN.com lol its free and you dont have to buy a cable plan. Everyone has a phone and phone plans basically require data so you can use 1-2mb a day to see who won or read a lil article.

Internet on your phone or free internet in a library or something.

I cut the cord because we moved but i had been thinking about it for months. Now that we havent had cable for 3 months, I told my wife we dont need it. Between my folks and her folks both having it, we can use their logins for AppleTV and get the antenna that will gie you all the major local stations ABC, FOX, CBS, NBC, and a few others

only really liked sportscenter on espn.. could never listen to dudes on tv yelling about sport stats and meaningless theories and comparisons..
 
Because the only players they really talk about is Lebron or Curry.
