I've never owned or wanted a red based shoe but the way it looks on these makes me want a pair.

For those of you who ordered an iD with speckled midsole, do they paint and speckle the inside of the clear window? If so, can you still see the lunar cushion with the small vertical flex grooves in the forefoot?

Thanks my dude. Thinking about ordering the Demar PE in red and speckling the swoosh myself. Just having an internal battle on whether I should get clear outsole like his or solid grey for traction purposes as I do want to ball in these.

I got clear soles on mine and work great for the court. All the NBA players with PEs are hooping in translucent soles...

Yes it is possible. 

Clear sole rendering isn't great on the nike website though so it looks more greyish, but it should come out clear. The only two differences I can really see are: 1) the back heel portion on the iD will be felt, where on Demar's it looks like it's leather. You could opt for the mamba skin option for the upper instead and have a snake skin pleather heel portion, but I like the felt. 2) the liner of the tongue is black when you iD it instead of red like Demar's. Also, make sure on the iD you get red stitching on the signature of the heel tab. 

Thanks GWIZZLE, I'll go with the clear then and if they suck on court I can return or I wouldn't mind keeping these for casual. Too dope. Just worried because NBA players play on a pristine court and I play at a local gym.

This guy's review is really hard to watch all the way through, but it does support durability issues with the outsole. . Maybe I'll go with XDR lol.
