2017 NFL Draft Thread - **Please do not post spoilers during the Draft**

That's true.. but I wouldn't put it past couple teams

Either a ton of CBs or a ton of edge rushers are going to in the 1st

Curious to see how high the 3 QBs go and in what order.. how high the top 2 safeties go.. what order the edge guys go after Myles

How,many of the bama and OSU guys in the 1st.. what happens with the Oline guys

The QBs thing is interesting.

Trubisky's experience

Kizer is a project

Watsons accuracy / decision making

From a Houston fan stand point I want Trubs or Mahomes.

Trub reminds me Luck and Mahome looks like Carr.

It's gonna be a heavy defensive first round.

Eagles need a WR in the worst way, depending on Williams 40 and Davis injury one of them might be there :nerd:

Any way the draft falls we should get 2 high end players with our first two picks.. and considering our needs I hope we keep and use our 8 picks

My preference in order is: Davis, cook and Williams at 14/15

But if all 3 are gone by then, I think we go CB.. and could go CB again in the 2nd, since I think that'll easily be the best value then (cause I think a ton of edge rushers go in the 1st pushing a fair amount of the CBs to the 2nd).. so obviously I would prefer to go with 1 of the above guys then CB

If Barnett or Solomon somehow drop, I could also see us going with either of them

Could also see us go OJ Howard and make our base offense a 2 TEs set (celek is old and has 1 more year with the team)

NFL teams received final combine invite list. Among those not invited: Oklahoma RB Joe Mixon and Baylor WR Ishmael Zamora, per sources.

I saw a big board that Had mixon top 20 overall

I don't see it.. maybe it's just me

not saying he's bad or anything.. but a lot of guys to love in this draft

Hope Njoku falls to the packers for scenes that will be had

But they need some defensive help

They have a similar body type, and are both plus receivers for the position, but Bell's running style is so unique that it's really not fair to compare anyone to him.

I want Leonard Fournette so bad.... but everyone projects us to get Jamal Adams :smh:

We a great back to keep the ball out of Bortles hands.
I'm praying yall take Leonard so Adams drops to 8.
ALOT of mocks have us taking Leonard, but I'll be more comfortable taking the field than him at 8

Explain

Cook is closest thing as a combo of talent.. patient runner in finding a lane is mccaffrey

Cook doesn't have the build. Looks to be a couple of inches shorter and about 10-15lbs lighter than bell/mixon. Cook to me is more of a homerun hitter. Mixon sets up his blocks more nicely and is a better threat out of the backfield. To me what makes le'veon so special is that he's basically an extra WR when you use him out of the backfield/split him out wide. Watch Mixon vs Texas Tech this year.

I meant highest value as a legit duel threat.. wasn't comparing their styles or build

Hope Njoku falls to the packers for scenes that will be had

I hope the Dolphins take him if he falls to us

I need the Dolphins to trade down, defensive help is huge. RE/LE, NT, MLB, Sam, Nickle and depth at Safety. All Needs, not in that order.

No reason to get Njoku right now, the offense isn't the problem. The gel is already there and Grey/Sims works just fine.

^ y'all playing 4-3 still right?

I think there's going be a run on edge guys in the 1st.. plus both safeties

Going be interesting what happens with Reuben foster and Raekwon McMillan, of the non edge lb who could go 1st

Yea still a 4-3... for some reason... and I agree the run on the top DEs in this draft will go top 15 easily.

I think McKinley, Lawson, Williams, Harris and McDowell will all be there.

I seen McDowell will be a DT, Williams a 3-4 end, Lawson would be a huge reach, McKinley is a bit of a project with a lot of talent I believe he would be a much better OLB 3-4, too small for DE and Harris is less talent with it being a project, Good spin move though.

I trade down and aquire picks where I can.

What I'm hoping and guessing is one of the better corners will be dropping. Dolphins need much more help with Run stopping defensive players but TE/Middle of the field and Nickle absolutely killed them as well.

There is no real elite MLB in this draft outside of Foster, no reason to reach.

End of the day, BPA.

Just DEs/OLBs I think could end up in the 1st:

Myles Garrett, Solomon Thomas, Derek Barnett, taco charlton, charles harris, zach Cunningham, takkarist mckinley, Tim Williams and maybe carl lawson

Then add in Allen and McDowell on the line guys

And always the possibility someone blows up at the combine.. or some team does something no one sees

I really think only 3-4 CBs go in the 1st, which means some really talented guys are going be in the 2nd and 3rd

Lack of top end guys at other spots will push other guys in the first out of need.. like QB and Oline.. then we know the 2 safeties are locks

We also will have 3 wide receivers go (Williams, Davis, Ross), possibly 2 tight ends with Njoku and OJ. Maybe 3 running backs, the third being McCaffrey. I wouldn't take him but some team could.

Another OLB name popping up is Reddick from Temple. Looked great at the Sr. Bowl and has been popping up on a lot of radars.
